If you flying jetblue, you can use the curbside service to drop off your bags. It cost $3 per bag but it will save you time if you came little bit late

Flew Delta... The Delta Bag Check Desk is the WORST I've experienced in a long, long time.... We'll see how's the flight. I hope its better than Bag Check In

Don't trust google maps estimated times for AirTrain+subway. Add buffer according to terminal.
