Need to regulate your senses? -> Sensory Room right in front of the Centurion/Amex Lounge <- JFK airport, terminal 4- after Rx, go to your left
Heading to Manhattan? Take the Airporter shuttle service to Penn Station or Grand Central for $16 and get there in an hour- One hour at delta just to drop the bag. 2 hours to get through security. Need to plan ahead here. It can be 1000 people in line.
Gate Agents here are like animals you accidentally stumble upon in the wild -USE CAUTION!!!

Marc UKGDecember 8, 2023Try not to connect through JFK especially arriving from outside the US. 2 hours waiting at immigration and another hour at least at security check which was super messy and felt not safe.
Best way to get here is by the Air Train. No traffic and cheap.

Use your goofy oversized headphones from the airplane as earmuffs because it's damn cold out and your ride is undoubtedly stuck in traffic.. Welcome to N Y!
Take the LIRR from Penn to Jamaica then take the Air Tran. Much better and faster then can or subway in traffic. Total one way fair= $11.

The terminals are to long but food options great
flyin virgin? if you've got some time, hit the restaurants (read: bars) before security... (there's nothin but peete's and newsstands til 11am at the gates!
Security in and out bound takes ages, be prepared and give yourself extra time.

Make sure to arrive with plenty of travel time! I always arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure because the security check points are AWFUL!
