JFK has a full-time "rat king" militia to prevent a horrific scenario where hundreds of rats form-up into an imposter pilot and steal an aircraft. Your airport fees at work!
International connections are difficult. Lots of runway traffic. Long security lines. Terminals not connected behind security. Some terminals have better food/amenities than others.
while sutting at the gate for three hours stretch use restroom have your pass if you getoff and never agree to taking the next flight om planebiscotti is good
anyone in terminal 7, near gate 23, check out "croque madam". u can place a food or drink order on the iPad at your seat and have it delivered + USB and 110v charging! fantastic!
The Virgin America terminal (didn't even notice what terminal # it is) is amazing! So nice to be at a New York airport that is brand new! Amazing restaurants an shopping!
Surprised by the efficiency of the baggage handlers at JFK. MIA int'l airport people should spend some time here to learn how not to keep travelers waiting for an hour or more to collect bags.
No good free WIFI. Got connected to BOINGO for a free 30min but got disconnected after a few seconds and when I was able to access it again, it said my minutes are over.
If not TSA Pre-check leave plenty of time. It's a busy international airport and wait times are unpredictable. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour through security.
bring a small clear plastic bottle of water, drink the whole thing while in the security line, pack the empty bottle in your carry-on, refill it after passing through security.
If your commuting, try to leave 4 hours earlier when you have a very early flight because 1:MTA subways do not run normally 2:Usually Airtrains do not run early in the morning. 3: Slow Shuttle buses!!
John F. Kennedy International Airport is the primary international airport serving New York City. It is the busiest international air passenger gateway into North America, the 14th-busiest airport in the world, and the sixth-busiest airport in the United States.
