Terminal 7: the bathrooms towards gate 11 are MUCH cleaner and better than the ones by gate 9. Also, Balducci's is great for healthy food.

morning flights on Sunday have quick check-in & security lines but you might have to share some coffee with TSA they weren't too friendly.

Wondering since when is this airport in brooklyn. I've been to Fort Lauderdale Airport, and for some reason I was in Florida ... go figure.
JetBlue terminal is the best. Wifi and lots of food options.
Terminal 4: Holy food choices batman! Blue smoke, shake shack and la brea bakery right past gate 35
Shake shack is officially open in the new Delta terminal. Only 50¢ more than the usual prices.
Better your life by buying a one-way ticket out of this piss and poverty ridden city.

Sandro CamaraoJanuary 8, 2014Best way to get into the city is Air Train to Jamaica, then catch a LIRR train into Penn Station.
Don't go upstairs to the checkin at terminal 4. There is a less frequented check in on the main level
TSA Pre-Check is the best thing that ever happened to airport security. Left everything in my bags, kept all my clothes on. Awesome!

Ariel HermanMay 28, 2017International connections are difficult. Lots of runway traffic. Long security lines. Terminals not connected behind security. Some terminals have better food/amenities than others.

Surprised by the efficiency of the baggage handlers at JFK. MIA int'l airport people should spend some time here to learn how not to keep travelers waiting for an hour or more to collect bags.
Order a car. The taxi line at JFK is unbearable.
They'll know you're a "regular" at JFK if you only speak in an exaggerated Kennedy accent.

No good free WIFI. Got connected to BOINGO for a free 30min but got disconnected after a few seconds and when I was able to access it again, it said my minutes are over.

If flying American, schedule an extra 10 minutes on arrival to get out!
If you're headed Brooklyn, take the LIRR to Atlantic (Airtrain to Jamaica first). Cheap and comfy!
If not TSA Pre-check leave plenty of time. It's a busy international airport and wait times are unpredictable. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour through security.- bring a small clear plastic bottle of water, drink the whole thing while in the security line, pack the empty bottle in your carry-on, refill it after passing through security.
This place is so enormous! Give yourself extra time just to find your gate and beware of changes.
If your commuting, try to leave 4 hours earlier when you have a very early flight because 1:MTA subways do not run normally 2:Usually Airtrains do not run early in the morning. 3: Slow Shuttle buses!!
