I love this place, great diner with all kinds of neighborhood characters. Maybe my favorite burger in NYC. It's very old-school, well-priced, neighborhood haunt / local's joint, etc. etc.
Serious pro-tip: if you ask for maple syrup, you’ll get a mini bottle of organic, single origin, small-batch stuff made locally in NY. If that’s not a revelation at a greasy spoon, idk what is!
I don’t quite agree with Nick Solares that it’s the single best in NYC, but sitting at the counter after a long day of work and ordering a cheeseburger deluxe is a hell of a way to soothe the soul.
This is an old school classic diner. Order the cheeseburger deluxe at the counter. This is also a solid spot for anything breakfast - pancakes, eggs, breakfast sandwiches. You won’t be disappointed!
Grab a counter seat and get a cheese burger. Fresh chuck, crisp char, and nice soft bun. Get your super juicy burger medium rare or rare and tell them to skip the plancha (aka don't press the burger)
Cozydiner that is no frills, but very chill. Go back in time to this small local joint and enjoy a simple breakfast. Food comes out fast! Very New Yorker
Pancakes, french toast, eggs, ham, sausage, etc... simply, good breakfast food, pretty good coffee (I like mine strong), and a nice atmosphere with friendly staff
They scramble the contents of your omelets with the eggs before they cook the omelet, which is key. The home fries and coffee are awesome too and they make bacon extra crispy!
I've been coming here since I was in high school. Nothing has changed, because it never needed to. It's always been good comfort food. Order a milkshake for old times sake.
