Fear not, fellow foodies! There is great dining to be had in South Lake Tahoe - if you know where to look. These are my top five favorite restaurants (and a few more!) in this neck of the woods.
Jenna Palacio: Killer happy hour and uber fresh sushi and nigiri. I love the Maui Wowie Roll and the Karen's Special. Don't miss their sake cocktails and specials board (helloooo ocean trout and yummy Toro!).

Jenna Palacio: What's this? Amazing Thai food in South Lake Tahoe? You bet your spring roll there is! I can't get enough of the spicy basil noodles and pumpkin curry. Call ahead and make a reservation if you can.

Jenna Palacio: I dare you to find better Fish & Chips than the deliciousness that's served here. When it comes to pub grub, these guys take it to the next level with home made and locally procured ingredients.

Jenna Palacio: Say aloha to this surprising Hawaiian-meets-Hippie restaurant in the middle of town. In the summer time, grab a roof-top table for a view of Lake Tahoe. Phil's Blackend Fish Sando doesn't disappoint!
Jenna Palacio: Go figure Tahoe's best BBQ is at the top of the Grandview chair lift! And you'll be ready for it after riding Sierra. Try the made-from-scratch sauce, deep fried green beans, brisket and pulled pork.
Jenna Palacio: If a dive bar and hippie deli hooked up, this would be their baby. Great organic sammys and salads; great beers on tap served proper in 22 oz. glasses. Don't be in a hurry here, you're on Tahoe Time.
