Jacy Higa: Chef Sheldon Simeon, local celebrity chef and finalist on Top Chef, will take your mouth on a journey through island heaven! Cheap eats, with lots of Gluten Free options, will leave you wanting more!

Jacy Higa: Get the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast to get you started or fill your opu (tummy) with a Cubano sandwich for lunch..or if late nights are your thing, a Lilikoi Margarita will help put you to sleep!

Jacy Higa: Open from 5am-2pm, a walk up counter & outdoor seating, this little cafe ain't for divas. No waitresses but you won't mind when your senses are blown by their TO DIE FOR cinnamon rolls & fried rice!

Jacy Higa: Nothing gets the day started better than a lil' caffeine, right? And if you don't do caffeine, then try one of their super smoothies..the Pink Bomb is my fave! Their crepes are another must.

Jacy Higa: A drive-thru coffee stand in the Home Depot parking lot, their coffee speaks for itself as locals willingly wait 25+ min just to get a cup of their NOLA cold brew. Queue in storefront. You're welcome.

Jacy Higa: Voted Maui's best coffee shop and for a reason!! Great coffee, pastries & sandwiches will keep you stuffed. If you visit after 2pm, you'll hit Happy Cappy hour where cappuccinos are on special.

Jacy Higa: Coffee, coffee, coffee..that's my AM mantra. They say, "safety first", I say COFFEE FIRST! Indoor and outdoor seating if you want to lounge or just grab&go...a Turtle Mocha and bagel is my go-to!

Jacy Higa: ALL SHAVE ICE IS NOT CREATED EQUAL is their motto, and man, did they get that right! There's nothing standard about their shave ice with now (6) locations on Maui. This is an absolute MUST! So GOOOO!!

Jacy Higa: Ever heard of good things come in small packages? This little gem of a food truck is it! Get your acai bowl topped w/Lilikoi Butter, Poi or Peanut Butter..or heck, all 3. Trust me, you'll be back!

Jacy Higa: Not your standard lemonade stand! Smoothies, Acai bowls & much more.The Strawberry Lilikoi (passion fruit) lemonade with strawberry cacao toast leaves this strawberry lover with a smile on her face!

Jacy Higa: This is one place you must visit...and trust me when I say it's not a suggestion, it's an order! Their stick donuts, creme puffs and guava filled malasada's are the must-haves!! You won't be sorry!

Jacy Higa: After a long day in the sun, go to this lil' coffee & shave ice shack for a nice cool down and quick snack. A dirty chai with a BLT should hold you over or get "Shark's Blood" shave ice combo! Heaven!

Jacy Higa: Their baked goods are hands down the best on Maui and it's quite likely you'll see me sitting at an outside table. My suggestion, get THEM ALL! Especially their Key Lime Pie and Mac Nut Sticky Bun!!

Jacy Higa: Looking for chill? This is it...great happy hour from 3p-7p w/ some great Mexican eats (shrimp wraps are delish). Multiple TV's, live bands, and comedy night (Weds) has everyone leaving fulfilled.

Jacy Higa: Award-winning Chef Peter Merriman did Maui proud giving us 30+ craft beers on tap, live music, happy hour & unforgettable food. Hands down one the best spots in Wailea. Don't forget a reservation!

Jacy Higa: Located in the Grand Wailea Resort, this floating restaurant has the best sunsets on the planet! Chef de Cuisine Mike Lofaro creates delicious masterpieces on a plate & he's not bad to look at either!

Jacy Higa: Honeymooning or just want a sexy dinner for two? Mama's is THE most romantic spot for dinner on Maui. The fish is freshly caught & will melt in your mouth. Go for broke & get the Surf & Turf #winning

Jacy Higa: Located on the Plantation Course in Kapalua, their menu is an interesting spin on island inspired faves. Get a seat on the balcony & take it all in while enjoying a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Jacy Higa: Your keiki (kids) will enjoy making their own pancakes at this awesome family restaurant. Make your own or order off the menu, you'll have a variety of options and the portions are huge and delish!

Jacy Higa: It's small & you may have to wait but if you want what the locals want, then this is it! HOT TIP: Get the Vanilla sauce for your waffles or pancakes & upgrade your starch to the fried rice #foodcoma

Jacy Higa: The BEST margarita's around! #notkidding Their chips are also homemade and trust when i say you'll ask for more. I love their chimichangas (ask for it "wet") w/ a Lilikoi Margarita. HEAVEN.ON.A.PLATE

Jacy Higa: Sushi lovers, NUKA is calling you! Guests are served on a 1st come 1st served basis & they are open frm 430p-10p so show up and eat up! The Nuka Bowl & Spider Roll are my jam but you'll love it all.

Jacy Higa: Great for the family or for 2, hit happy hour (3p-5p) for 50% off some of the best pizza on island. The Fabian pizza w/Brie, Salami & Mushrooms has my heart & don't forget to hit the pastry display!

Jacy Higa: I've never seen a volcano erupt, but I have seen an onion volcano spit fire, does that count? Fun vibe and the kids get entertained while the chef cooks up your meal table-side. Get the scallops!

Jacy Higa: Located in quaint Pai'a town, pizzas are cooked in a wood fire oven w/ flatbread crust & unique toppings. My fave is the Mango BBQ pizza w/goat cheese. You can't go wrong with their salads either.

Jacy Higa: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kim Chee Fried Rice, Mochiko Chicken, Steak Bites and pickled onions are my go-to's. Served family-style or get your own plate. Strong drinks + great food = unforgettable evening!

Jacy Higa: Sculptures by Fernando Botero circle the bar & where it derives its name. Nightly live entertainment & the most personable bartenders around, this bar is a hip place to enjoy the hotel night life.

Jacy Higa: NOTE: Menu is small and cocktail list is long so if you're looking for a great sit-down meal, this is not it. BUT.. it's the place for a fun time, late hours, strong drinks and great service! CHEERS!!

Jacy Higa: Go for a nice dinner or stay late into the night for karaoke and drinks. My friends and I always have such a great time here, we go as much as we can. The sansei roll and dynamite shrimp are a MUST!

Jacy Higa: Take the brewery tour & end it by ordering one of their 20+ unique crafted brews. Views are awesome & the food is spot on. A bit pricey but its a great facility w/service, food & drinks to match!

Jacy Higa: New spot by our famed Chef Sheldon Simeon. His play on comfort Hawaiian food, the concept of eating at home and dishes served family-style. Food's delicious & drinks are great! Smoke meat is the bomb!

Jacy Higa: Great atmosphere paired with quick, friendly service. One of the best happy hours on Maui with very reasonable prices. Try the lobster sandwich paired with a "Thai me down" drink. Highly recommended!

Jacy Higa: A must do dining experience! Open for lunch & dinner and so many choices to choose from. Try the crab cake pizza for starters and end with the upside down pineapple cake...you'll thank me later!

Jacy Higa: One of the best hidden gems on Maui! Get the pancakes for breakfast, panini's for lunch & pasta for dindin. And get dessert! It's BYOB, so hit up Morihara's across the street for a nice bottle of wine

Jacy Higa: A local favorite! This spot was featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins & Dives and has since become a visitor favorite as well. HUGE portions & I mean HUUUGGE! Can't beat great food and service!

Jacy Higa: I am NEVER disappointed when I walk into this little gem! The waiters are helpful, funny and always up for giving great suggestions. Killer food and as authentic as you can get! You'll love it all!

Jacy Higa: I love the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken on pasta with a nice glass of Pinot Grigio! Sit out on the patio for a nice breeze & view of the golf course. The prices are reasonable & the food delicious!

Jacy Higa: Taco Tuesdays done the right way here! Cool, fun vibe w/ onolicious food & the best margaritas in Kihei! Try the fish tacos or combo burrito. Opens at 730am-10pm so you can fiesta it up all day long!

Jacy Higa: The Catepillar Roll, TNA Roll, Miso Phat Roll and fresh Hamachi is pretty much like meeting Jesus and hearing, "Well done my child!" Pair it with Sake or a nice cold Sapporo and you are set!

Jacy Higa: Awesome spot in Lahaina for some of the best fish & chips around. Sit on the deck and get your camera's ready for a gorgeous Maui sunset. Food is sooo good but make sure to save room for the Hula Pie!

Jacy Higa: It's a bit on the small side but bring a big appetite for a hearty meal! I could eat their kalbi ribs & garlic shrimp all day, everyday! Sit down for a casual meal or do take out for a meal on the go!

Jacy Higa: Fab food in a funky little joint. Casual lil eatery w/outside seating, cool vibe, & awesome drinks. The lobster crab grilled cheese will make you sigh out loud and they also have a great kids menu.

Jacy Higa: Newly opened and overlooking Ma'alea Harbor, my first impression was WOW! Sit outside for wonderful views while munching on delicious food. Great service and location, and the shrimp scampi was legit!

Jacy Higa: Fun place to unwind and kick back! Great music and the locals definitely hit up this place on the weekends for their weekly dance fest. Hungry? Try the coconut shrimp...crispy and delish! Bottoms up!!

Jacy Higa: Irish bar w/great food (fish & chips & Burger on the Blue), good drinks (TWO - yes, TWO happy hours a night), great live music (check the entertainment lineup) and an excellent location (make res!!)

Jacy Higa: TV's, drinks, music & comfort food make for a great pit stop while in town or before heading to the airport! A local favorite, you'll catch the crowd after 4pm. Go grab a seat, a beer & cheers it up!

Jacy Higa: Great spot to catch the sunset? Check! Awesome cocktails & Food? Check! Live entertainment & helpful staff? Check! Located in the Fairmont Kealani, you'll enjoy being surrounded by all things Aloha!

Jacy Higa: Open every Saturday frm 7a-1p. Admission is $.50 & parking is free. Many local vendors w/many great trinkets to bring back home. Don't forget to wear cool clothing. Drinks&food available for purchase

Jacy Higa: Looking for fresh produce at half the price? This is the place to hit before heading to your hotel. Amazing fruit & veggies and a selection of freshly made salsa, guacamole & Maui Onion vinaigrette!

Jacy Higa: Held every Sunday's in Lahaina Gateway parking area, you will find a unique blend of items & experiences. Listen as the local vendors share their passion of their craft w/ you, you'll leave smiling.

Jacy Higa: Not as large as those on the mainland, but has all main stores you would expect. Free 2hr parking with validation. LOCAL HACK: You get free 4hr parking at the restaurants, so stop in and have a drink.

Jacy Higa: No major store brands located here but you will find Tasaka Guri Guri located here. Guri Guri (a creamy take on Sorbet) is one of those things that you MUST try (or get) when you are in Maui.

Jacy Higa: The queen jewel of shopping on Maui, you'll find what you need here for your typical shopping needs. Park in the parking structure in the back for easy parking. Food, drinks & shopping...perf!

Jacy Higa: This little outdoor fair comes once a month. Filled with live music, local vendors, and food truck galore, you will definitely find yourself having a great time and wishing it was a weekly event!

Jacy Higa: If upper-scale shopping is your thing, this is the place. Weekly hula shows (Thursdays) and live entertainment (check for their line-up) will leave you entertained while getting your shopping on.

Jacy Higa: Nice lil' strip mall in the heart of Kihei. Filled with restaurants or local eateries. Starbucks and Safeway are located here for a quick pick-me-up or last minute grocery stop.

Jacy Higa: Fully enclosed & air conditioned with over 50+ stores to choose from. Cute boutiques, restaurants and food court to fill your hours or sit and watch the keiki (children) dance the hula.

Jacy Higa: Tours are every half hour starting at 930am & last one at 4pm. $10/pp w/tasting for those 21+. You'll tour the garden, farm, distillery & gift shop. Great learning experience & you get to drink too!

Jacy Higa: ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (notice the caps!) Take the walking tour and end it with a nice cup of freshly steeped Lavender Tea with a Lavender scone. You'll be lavender"ed" out but so what? Enjoy the life!

Jacy Higa: It's a bit to get there, but what better way to see Maui then on the scenic route? Take the tropical wine flight to experience some of Hawaii's most flavorful wine. Great & fun staff. Kid friendly!

Jacy Higa: Looking to fly without wings? They have the best guides who are knowledgeable & have your safety as their utmost priority. The scenery is breathtaking and you'll want to do it all over again!

Jacy Higa: Affectionately called the Highway to Heaven, it is 53 miles of pure Hawaiian beauty. Get the "Road to Highway" app & you'll have your own personal guide. Make sure to leave early & bring your camera!

Jacy Higa: Pictures do not do this absolutely breathtaking spot on Maui justice. Learn about the history behind the area and dip your feet in the cold water. Parking is $5 and make sure to heed all signs!

Jacy Higa: Best spot to catch the rising of the Maui sun! Bring a jacket as it gets chilly. Check for sunrise times as it'll take ~2hrs & don't forget to make a reservation. Do the Lavender farm on the way down.

Jacy Higa: Sit on the deck for a view of the sun setting. Life is good w/views of Maui, Lana'i, & Moloka'i & cocktail in hand. Enjoy a romantic dinner w/ tableside service& and the night dancing under the stars.

Jacy Higa: Smaller boat for a smaller group. Great food (you get continental breakfast & lunch & drinks). Maui sealife (TURTLES!). Crew is knowledgeable & will help make your snorkel trip an unforgettable one.

Jacy Higa: I'm a bit prejudice w/luau's bcuz i used to work at one, bt you can't come to Hawai'i & not see one! All the luau's are great but Old Lahaina has the best location & views. Food, drinks & show is fab!
