Casual date night. Great place to unwind after a long week with shareables. Patatas are always a must. Pulpo left something to be desired but chorizo was 👌🏻. Head to Amor y Amargo after for a few 🍹
Sit at the bar, enjoy some deliciously curated Spanish wine and the AMAZING pintxos (think Spanish dim sum). The octopus, sardines & mushrooms stand out as clear winners. Delicious & fun atmosphere!
Loved the “hot dog” - excellent sauces and the sausage was amazing, bun was in memorable, but overall this dish was incredible. The octopus was extremely tender.
The Basque Dogs ($8.50) at Huertas is made with chistorra sausage (pork and paprika) and slathered with both a smooth white aioli and a chunky, sweet, and tangy piquillo mostardo sauce. Read more
Huertas Rotos, Migas, and Papas Bravioli are by far my favorite plates. I love how they walk around with smaller things to munch on! The Aioli sauce is really good! Stoner approved!
Huevos rotos are unbelievable -- basically Spanish spaghetti carbonara. Also loved the pintxos (especially the sardine) and chocolate almond dessert. Do the drink pairing in the back room too!
Get some Basque-style tapas in the East Village at Huertas. Some things aren't on the menu but, servers come with a platter of lamb meatballs, & butter on toast with raw radish, or fried salt cod. Read more
Delicious Spanish tapas! Recommend rotos verdes, but all dishes are flavorful and tasty. Staff is incredibly friendly, and hospitality is included in the bill-- no tips needed!
When we happen to have the early evening off from work, we love to walk over the Huertas and enjoy a few snacks and some of the most reasonably priced wines in town!
The food is inventive but also doesn’t feel like a science fair project. If possible, try the tasting menu and explore. Tips are included in the price, making Huertas highly cost effective too.
Great beer and cider selection, awesome $1 pintxos night every Tuesday. On Mondays they have other chefs take over as well. The 4 course dinner is a great deal, anything seafood here is wonderful.
The pintxos are great and hard to go wrong with any of them. Staff is great. Get the house-made vermouth on tap straight up. The grilled octopus was one of the best I've had in the city.
Though better known for their tapas, don't ignore their absolutely delicious brunch. Get a Calamares Fritos Sandwich or Huertas Rotos with Papas, Sausage, or Bacon. Read more on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
Incredible spot for private dining events! The staff were out of this world and the food was divine, easy and really well caterer for dietary requirements!
One of the best tapas bar in the city right now. Delicious food and a fun concept of passed pinchos. $52 pre fix dinner menu available as well. Also available Spanish conservas - amazing!
The food was amazing. And the drinks were even better. Henry is the perfect mixologist. His drink creations are phenomenal. I can't wait to visit again.
Love love the food and wine and chill vibe. Date or friend spot. Eat the fried rice with mushrooms and drink lots of wine. Wasn't crazy about the blood sausage chickpea dish
You owe it to yourself to get the four course tasting menu. The egg course (up second) will knock your socks off. As will the homemade vermouth. Don't forget to congratulate Nate on your way out!
I lived in Spain & everything served here is on point. Try the Menú del día for a fancier meal or hang out in the front for lively atmosphere & addictive pintxos (esp tortilla español!)
This place is the bee's knees. Bartenders are awesome, the food looks scrumptious, the beer list is long, and happy hour is great. Perfect for a casual weeknight date.
The passed pintxos changed daily, but never turn down a meatball of any kind. The Huertas Rotos and the Boquerones are our two favorite staples on the Raciones menu!
$60 Spanish set menu or lighter tapas at the bar: passed pintxos; tortilla espanola; boquerones; setas; chorizo and eggs; pulpo a la gallega; huertas rotos (Spanish ramen); embutidos.
No more dollar pintxos on Tuesdays now that they switched to a service-included menu. Half off pintxos at the bar everyday 530 to 730 pm, don't forget to ask about the secret menu hotdog.
TT 10 Cheap Eats: "...pintxos joint stands out with tiny passed plates, including boquerones (anchovies), mussels, creamy Spanish cheese. $2 to $4, and takes several to make a meal; on Tues, just $1"
Cider meh and no liquor but tasty wines and interesting large format. Delicious chicken and salad, and their additional passed amuse was a nice surprise.
Huertas serves up Basque-influenced fare, evoking the lively eating and drinking culture of Northern Spain and creatively inspired by its home in New York City.
