Baked goods are phenomenal here, but that BaconCheddar Biscuit BAFFLES ME! It's crumbly and dry looking, but when you stick it in your MOUTH it's so good, more moist than you'd expect & SO addictive!
For the breakfast burrito, the pride of the whole concoction is the Niman Ranch bacon, served wide and deep, with a sweet and smoky taste to every bite. Read more

I used to not like this place so much but have changed my mind. The breakfast burrito completely redeemed the place and wow the baked goods are delicious. Thumbs up!
Perpetually crowded for its maple-bacon biscuits, Valrhona chocolate–dipped doughnuts, and egg sandwiches stuffed with bacon, Gruyère, & tangyaioli. More places to eat like a local tandl.me/12ufz7c
you'll think you want the fried egg sandwich. don't do it. you'll only wish you'd gotten the green eggs and ham. also, maple bacon biscuit, prosciuttogruyerecroissant, and whole wheatscone.
Peachcustard tarts are amazing. Made with a real, not canned peach half. The pastry is croissantdough that is crispy and the bottom layer breaks off leaving you a butter saturated sheet. So good
Be forewarned that it is perpetually crowded, especially on the weekends, when you might be better off picking up something to-go (like the rest of the Santa Monicans) and eating it curbside. Read more
The fried egg sandwich bites you back with the flavor of the aioli and arugula. It's $10.50 and it doesn't look like it, but it's worth it. I'm still eating mine and I want another!
Really good pastries and bakery, the cookies were delicious! I had the Granola with Fresh Fruit & Greek Yoghurt - the portion is huge but this is America!

If there was any café that was "so LA", this is it. The bakery and café uses organic and farmer's-market ingredients in all their delicious pastries and dishes.
Eggs Sammy is crackalicious. We held off on the other egg sammy, and did the granola instead. Granola was bangin, but it ain't an egg sandwich, les-be-aaaaanest. *pour the homemade hot sauce on it all
Delicious breakfast, quick turnaround. Be prepared to wait in a long line. Worth it. That evil counter though, ahh staring at all those goodies waiting to pay when you're starving, so cruel.
Try to go during the week- not nearly as busy as the weekend. Gluten freelemonpistachio cake was delicious. Salted CarmelBar & crostata were also faves.
If you like meat, briscuit hash is a must. More like a stew. All the baked goods are freshly-made exceptional, especially the tarts. There's a line but it moves quick. Among LA's top breakfast spots.
Skip the line for the best thing here: the pastries. Get whatever the cornmealcake is that day, to go. Food is fine, but an egg on some frisée is never worth a wait or these prices.
Get here early, they don't accept reservations. Bakery items are amazing. Sandwiches are the best I've ever had. The breads are incredible. Favorite for Santa Monica.
A well-oiled machine -- you wander in and the line is long & the place is packed. However, the line moves fast, a table is always ready before your food, and the staff is pleasant. Delicious!
