- Jeff DanielsSeptember 20, 2013Room was fine if a bit worn out. Good bed. Internet is now free and you can park on the street for free after 6pm through 11am. Plenty of spots right in front of the hotel.
- Gina RDecember 14, 2014Free wifi, comfy beds, and warm fireplaces. Park on the street after 6pm to 9 am next morning.
- Match ThisflyJuly 8, 2014I travel to this area just to stay at this hotel. The feather beds will give you life! The most delicious bed. Use to stay here every year for the Monterey Grand Prix in Laguna Seca.
- Renee MaslikhovAugust 16, 2011It's the feather beds! The most delicious bed. Use to stay there every year for the Monterey Grand Prix in Laguna Seca. Seriously, the most glorious hotel bed I've every slept in.
- Steve-oMarch 4, 2019Spacious rooms. Ask for a top floor room and enjoy vaulted ceilings for even more space.
- Expensive wifi, insane street noise, but the pillow top beds are dreamy and the rooms are big and if you keep the patio door closed, the traffic goes away. Also, a fireplace, lounge, and 2 showers.
- Larisa GrollemondFebruary 11, 2017Guest rooms are a little on the older side, but pretty well appointed. Friendly front desk people.
- SeeMontereySeptember 15, 2011Great location in the heart of downtown Monterey. Great continental breakfast and afternoon tea in the lobby.
- Tom ClarkNovember 5, 2011Been coming here for 20 years...love everything except having to pay for Internet. Really?? Pay this much per night and then you add that. Shame....
- Jason KoxvoldAugust 18, 2013Customer service beyond awful in every regard - at checkin, trying to order room service, any other random requests in the lobby. Seriously, is everyone stoned? (Update: MAYBE)
- KoalahatJuly 22, 2013Older B&B and could use some remodeling. First floor "suites" have remodeled bathrooms but you can hear your neighbors stomping around. I wouldn't stay here again.
- Venka AndersonJune 11, 2012It's a pleasant hotel, but the beds are squeaky and I'm not used to being charged for parking when staying in Monterey. We're usually at a B&B - even they offered free wifi. Not here.
- Dan'l Mackey AlmyJanuary 27, 2010They really need to offer free wireless to guest, at least in the lobby! Beds still are the best sleep in town though....
- scott solanJuly 29, 2011Noisey rooms. Thin walls. Bed is comfy and fireplace is nice. Internet should be free...
- Ulf HillstedtMay 12, 2013It is definetely not a luxury hotel. But ok. Beds the best we ever found in U.S. Staff the worst found in U.S. Totally lack social competence and a ability to smile! Breakfast is a joke.
- Toni StocktonMay 29, 2012Nice room, but to charge for parking and wifi on top of a higher than average room rate seems a bit much.
- Alex GrunsteinMay 22, 2011Messed up reservation. Gave a terrible attitude immediately after and took no responsibility. No handicap rooms with 2 beds, and the roll away is an air mattress. Steer clear if you want good CS.
