When you check in ask for a corner room. Tell them you MIGHT want a rollaway bed so you need the extra room, however you can open the window and climb out on the fire escape and smoke some good bud.
Had a great stay! Didn't have the issues others did, beds where fine, hot water plentiful, staff friendly, and rooms clean...everything I wanted/needed.
JourdanMay 7, 2011Touted as a boutique hotel, the Hotel Bijou should leave it to those who do it best. The neighborhood is seedy at best and while the staff is pleasant that's where the niceties end.
deeSeptember 28, 2010Decent rooms with interesting entertainment concepts. Has a movie theatre where they film shows. Next to a pub so can get noisy at nite. Decent for a cheapish non-luxury hotel that allows cats. Friendly and helpful staff.

We got a great rate & it was super close to the Bart station, but be careful at night...don't plan on walking.- JourdanMay 7, 2011No ac in the rooms, the hot water self regulates going between boiling hot & SF bay icy & dont make the mistake of using a free razor unless you feel like living the shower scene from Psycho.

Matthew SimsJanuary 29, 2012Hotel is okay. There is a lot of homeless activity around. Wifi is painfully slow. The "Movies" are a joke. You sit in a room staring at a 37" TV watching movies that aren't really "Classics."
Ask for a minibar in the room. It may be worthy, even there is an ice machine on 2nd floor- Here over Halloween and I swear room 308 had ghosts, I kept seeing things out of the corner my eyes.

Samira GonzalezFebruary 15, 2017El hotel está bien, pero si solo vienen a lo turístico, NO lo recomiendo (Pier 39, Golden Gate), ya que está lejos.
