Dare I say best BBQ in Brooklyn. Beef ribs are crazy town. Pair it w/ Mac n cheese, pickles and cole slaw as your sides. Wouldn't be surprised to find Frank Underwood in here.
Beef rib is a must have. Brisket wavers day to day. Same with the duckbanh mi: sometimes amazing and sometimes so drenched in duck fat and sauce that the bread is soggy. Tacos are on point, too.
Be prepared to wait, at least 45-min. in a cafeteria style service line. But the product (BBQ) is worth it. Get brisket, pulled pork, and the new bacon. Unbelievable flavor, succulent meat.
Take in the views of downtown Manhattan on the Ikea ferry over to Red Hook before chowing down on some of the city's best BBQ, including Texas-style brisket and a beef rib the size of your forearm.
The beef rib. The. Beef. RIB. Poets have spent their lives seeking muses which pale in comparison. Wars have been fought for less. Bike rides to Red Hook have been organized for a mere morsel of rib.
Waited an hour and a half in line for a good damn reason. Here's what you get: Pastrami Bacon, Pulled Pork, Beef Rib, QuesoMac n Cheese, Brisket, and the HTBC sandwich. Change your bbq perception.
Top 3 bbq in NYC worth the ResdHook trek. Brisket as good at Mighty Quinn's, and a unique lamb bellybanh mi sandwich where the sweet and spicy sauce cut the lamb fat perfectly.

#dubiDO #FabuLIST I love pulled pork but the lamb belly is to die for. Between the sticky ribs and Vietnamese wings -- go for the wings. Coleslaw is delicious. Live music on the weekends too!
Top 2 best BBQ in NY (w/ Fette Sau). Genuinely incredible stuff. They specialize in beef so hit the brisket & beef ribs. Worth the trip out, especially if you take the Ikea Ferry. Makes for a fun day.
Pastrami bacon, brisket, chicken, with sides of beans, collard greens, potato salad (the slightly tarty and refreshing type). Finish up with some incredibly sweet (ripe) banana pudding.
Best BBQ in NYC. Billy Durney is doing magic things with meats. Make sure you get brisket, beef ribs, and mac & cheese. Newer items like the pastrami are also amazing
If heaven exists, this is it. I ordered everything on the menu - yes I’m a fat fuh. So you MUST get the brisket, corn bread, and Vietnamese hotwings. Spareribs also ON POINT.
Of course get the brisket but also be sure to get the pulled pork. It has such great flavor. And it goes without saying to douse everything in a mixture of their two sauces. Finger licking good.
Straightforward classics like smoked brisket and baby back ribs are always a strong choice, but there are also options like pork belly tacos and a lamb bellybanh mi. Read more
Oh man, Fette Sau has some competition. Brisket Sandwich was awesome, tons of nice crunchy outer bits with tasty brisket. Pulled pork was also a standout. Basically, come here.
My friend and I are very picky eaters. But we came here today, and we agreed that this is one of the-- if not THE-- best BBQ in all of NYC. Worth the trek to Red Hook. Grab some Steve's key lime too!
best BBQ in NYC. period. come early or be prepared to wait. either way totally worth it. get the brisket 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and beef rib 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and potato salad - a LARGE 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 staff is lovely
You must try the brisket. It's sensational. As a side I'd highly recommend the beans (with chunks of burnt pork tips), the pickles and the amazing corn bread (it's for honey on it).
Everything. They have brisket, turkey breast, half & quarter chicken, sausage, brisket, sticky ribs, wings, pulled pork sandwich, etc. They did so well with the Turkey breast that it was not even dry!
Brisket and pulled pork were both awesome. Quesomac and cheese is one of those dishes you can't stop eating. Pay at the counter, which is great for groups.
Head for the counter to order meats by the pound, chicken, sandwiches, tacos, and sides. The beef rib, served on the bone, is a giant, Flintstones-style delight. Read more
Brisket was great, but not as smokey as expected. Amazed by Korean Sticky Wings (you must try). Mac n Cheese another winner as was the Hometown Slaw (was there fresh horseradish in there?).
Friendly service and TASTY BBQ. They cook to close so avoid procrastinating. Within 2 hours of their closing time they had sold out of brisket and some other options. Get here early!
Across the board, the best ’cue in NYC. Whether you go with Texas-style brisket, Vietnamese hot wings or pastrami bacon (yep), you can’t go wrong. Read more
Probably the best barbeque you are going to find in the New York City area without having to step outside the subway boundaries. You can skip the sides, the best thing by far is the ribs.
The brisket, pickles, and cornbread were all fantastic. The staff was accommodating and there was no line when I came which was a pleasant surprise. I’ll be back.
You can smell the smoked meats on the breeze as you approach. Really solid BBQ, sold by the pound on a tray. Rivals other favorite NYC BBQ joints like Fette Sau. Live music in the side bar.
They run out of meat later in the day, so go for lunch if you want full selection!!! Pastrami bacon and brisket were perfect(moist and tasty), alongside the perfect mac n cheese + skip the wings, tho!
Chef Billy Durney uses sausages sourced from nearby butcher shop Paisano's and he makes jerk baby back ribs in homage to his neighbors growing up as a child in Brooklyn. Read more
Thick slab bacon was the best bacon I've ever had in LIFE. Lamb belly and brisket were also top notch. Cornbread was killer. Jerk baby back ribs were good too.
The baby back ribs are amazing. You could not get better ribs anywhere. Not just Brooklyn. Not just NYC. Anywhere. They know what they're doing. Go now before there are lines around the block.
The massive beef rib is the showstopper and has earned its pitmaster an unprecedented amount of fast fame in the world of slow flame, including an appearance on Good Morning America. Don't miss out. Read more
Brisket is super moist inside and so are the ribs. They use only salt and pepper for their burnt ends so don't expect flavor from it. Super savory sauce, they even got a hot one that gives a good kick
Cool spot for some BBQ. Atmosphere is pretty fun. Food portions are very large so expect to take some home with you. A little out of the way if you're coming from Manhattan.
Get a beef rib for sure. Skip the brisket, as it's similar to the rib and go for something different like the amazing Srirachawings. Be careful about over ordering.
