If you like pizza and you're in Austin this iconic hipster pie joint on South Congress is a must.Authentic marinara sauce perfectly bigger than your face-sized slices and super stringy cheesy goodness
A cold beer and the best pizza in Austin. A Sunday cannot get better! The crust is the best I've ever had. Not too thin but just the right kind of thin and crispy. Greasy cheesy, so good.
If you’re ready to mix it up after overindulging in Texas BBQ and authentic Mexican, be sure to check out Home Slice Pizza on busy South Congress Avenue for a cold pint and a tasty pie. Read more
Originally from NY and now live in LA. Home Slice's pizza and cold cutsandwiches may be the BEST I have ever had! I am as picky an eater as they come. The hero bread and pizza crust, amazing.🍕 🥪
The "Sicilian slice" is no joke. I loved getting a "grandma slice" when I lived in Staten Island. Order this free of pepperoni and extra cheese. You can take off your belt in the bathroom like I did.
Superb. It’s funny. Places like this says “new york style” pizza on the entrance. Yet in NYC you can’t find a slice of pizza this good anywhere anymore.
The pizza is pretty good. They are a little tight on giving out ranch. With COVID they dont have done in right now. You'll also have to find a place to park to eat in your car or in the smaller patio.
Take time to admire the murals adorning the outside walls of the restaurant, then order yourself a cheesy slice of heaven! Seating is limited, so you may want to make your order to go. Read more
This is our favorite pizza place in Austin. My hubby is a New Yorker and this is as close as it gets around here. Sit out back, take your pooch, get a Shiner on draft and order a large pie! Cheers!
Just the right amount of grunge to give it an organic, hippie-like feel. The patio is ideal on a nice day, but indoors the music and dated psychedelic decor will have you in a blissful state.
The pepperoni and mushroom is heavenly! This is some top notch pizza! The vibe is really sick too! I found them during SXSW on my new supper app: http://supper.mx/places/home-slice-pizza-austin/
Insane 🍕. Whatever you get it will be good. The staff is my favorite, from the way they answer the phone to they're casual, but overly accommodating vibe when you pick up. ❤️!
From the moment Home Slice opened its doors, it's been packed – and for good reason. Genuine New York-style pizza made in an independent neighborhoodpizzeria, by folks who know how it's done. Read more
For fans of New York-style pizza, Home Slice is as close as you can get in Austin, possibly thanks to yearly staff trips to the Big Apple. You know, for research. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Came to Home Slice for a birthday party and we ordered 5 different kinds of pizza. The forest one to go was the clam pizza. It was divinely to die for!
This is the closest thing to NY style pizza you can get in Austin. What's even better? They source as many of their ingredients locally as they possibly can.
Home Slice, a restaurant located on South Congress, is known for the best NY style pizza in Austin. I would highly recommend it to any pizza lover. You won't be disappointed!
Enjoy a game of ping pong on the back patio while you wait. Draft beers at the bar and fans on the lower section for Austin's dog days of summer. Classic Austin haunt!
This place is super great! We started with the garlic knots... Which were heavenly! And ordered a margarita pizza with 1/2 pepperoni, plus a house salad with meal. Grant took care of us... Perfect!!
Outside is small and gets busy fast , wait time can be mentally pain , not fully veganfriendly. Great if you can hang and like big groups, kid friendly.
Austin's best pizza spot. Can get a little packed, but More Home Slice (next door on S. Congress) is a good option for a slice or take-out when the original location is too packed.
Cuteback patio & bar (to cool your heels when there's a wait). Try the Sausage, Ricotta & Red Pepperpizza. Or if you're feelin veg: White Pie w Spinach, Garlic, Ollive Oil, Ricotta & Mozzarella.
Don't let the wait time discourage you; the pizza is well worth it. If you're really pressed for time, hit up More Homeslice next door for takeaway slices and salads, oh and rice crispy treats!
