My wife & I got the beef pastry pot pie, the salmon fillet, & the mushroom appetizer. We didn't care for the appetizer sauce but all else was tasty & filling. Westmalle tripel steep at $18 per 330ml.
Great food....mussles are awesome. Beer also amazing...only issue was the service. Had wait staff walking around doing nothing & had 2 ask 3 times to get a drink!
Mussles are awesome & beer is great...love the duvel! Only issue waswait staff. All walking around not doing much & had to ask 3 times to order a drink...
Wednesdays half price on mussels ($24 reg. price) Mondays, Belgian sausages special, with saurkraut, mash and a choice of beers or a glass of house wine ($18.50) Chocolate mousse nice but heavy! ($13)
Extremely disappointed. They have revamped the menu and staff to be slightly more French influenced and it's all served on a plate of attitude! 3 waitresses later we got our bottle of water. Terrible.
Won't be making the mistake of eating here again, our group of 35 people was spread over two separate areas, my friends fish was half raw, the wait staff are rude and the food is barely passable.
In Belgium, home of today's fashion and design avant-garde, the typical bistro has its own distinctive style, with a way of eating, drinking and socialising that has developed over centuries and continues to this day. Sydneysiders have been enjoying this tradition at the famous Belgian Beer Cafés.
