- Freka SexyAugust 21, 2014Strawberry Shortcake desert is awesome! It includes vanilla bean whipped cream YUUUUUM! A server brought out some BBQ shrimp that smelled great too. Will try on my next visit.
- Alexander ReaSeptember 2, 2013Chef Simin Glenn's Tchoup Shop serves up some serious New Orleans flavors with a bit of Indochina influence. Start with the pork cracklin. "Beaner" pic attached. Eggs over pork rice and beans.
- Akua AidooFebruary 28, 2015Boudain balls amazing ✅ gumbo very creole rather than cajun (free cup w/ entree via yelp)✅ chicken biscuit very savory had to use a fork n knife ✅ I just wish there was more light so I could see food
- Damien Basile 😈January 1, 2014Order the chicken biscuit. It's the absolute best I've ever had. It's the Drake of biscuits. It's a good grill and you know it.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- We are TastebudsSeptember 5, 2016Gumbo, Jambalaya and te sausage! The chicken biscuit is good but too sweet for us. One of our favourite places in Brooklyn so far.
- When the music is bumpin' this place is the TITS. Good brunch from what I hear. Great happy hour from what I know. Crawfish mac is very good as is the jambalaya, biscuit, & deviled egg (lol).
- Kristina RudicMarch 4, 2016Absolutely MUST try the chicken biscuit sandwich. A bigger snack but needs a side of making it a meal. The Crackin are better once they cool down a little but are still delicious!
- Christopher LMarch 2, 2020If you see the Chicken Nuggets on special, get ‘em. Only $7 and hella Nugz.
- Sara MinisqueroMay 20, 2019Sausage gravy on a greah biscuit is to die for, and don’t get me started on this pecan bread pudding
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideNovember 14, 2012Bar by night, attractive, rustic, light-filled coffee shop by day, Bushwick's Heavy Woods gets its moniker from the Dutch name for this area back in the day. Cafe Grumpy coffee. Read more
- Alex MillerJuly 26, 2015The chicken biscuit will stick to your ribs (and make you stronger). They sometimes show sports on their TVs, so beware (or get there early if that's your thing).
- Raphael LangenscheidtJuly 10, 2015Cheap, delicious food and good beer list. Definitely stop by if in the area. $6 for rice, beans, bacon, sausage - can't beat it.
- "Take, eat; this is my Biscuit which broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me." - Our lord and biscuit savior, 1 Cajuns 11:23-26
- Well-picked rotating selection of draft microbrews. Get here early if you are rolling with a crew. Seating is limited and the space, while nicely decorated, is small.
- William HubaDecember 31, 2014Good happy hour and a good brunch spot. The New Orleans style dishes are just right after a rough night of boozing.
- In case you were wondering.. it still rocks and has the best beer selection
- Danielle DavisAugust 21, 2014One of the best meals of the year for me here. Heavy menu, but a massive win on every item we tried.
- Michelle LJanuary 18, 2015Huge fan of Tschoup Shop's deviled eggs 👌... although pretty much everything else is tastey, too.
- Vivienne GucwaAugust 23, 2014The chocolate caramel walnut pie is delectable. Staff is friendly but a bit spacey.
- No longer cash only. Bring all of your cards and enjoy booze at night and coffee during the day.
- Katie EytchOctober 4, 2016It's a bar, it has drink specials, and not a ridiculous card minimum. All is well.
- Great cocktails but a little pricey! If you are on a budget get the beer/shot $5 combo! Can't go wrong either way!
- Neal U.January 18, 2014Good spot, bit of an older crowd than other Bushwick bars. Do the right thing and get a po boy.
- The mulled wine & whiskey is excellent in the colder months. Warm, thick, spiced, delicious.
- vonHottie vHFebruary 24, 2013Before or after you see great weird theater at the Bushwick Starr, get good Southern food & strong drinks here.
- Chicken Biscuit, Jambalaya & the Po Boy are the things to order
- their catfish mac and cheese makes me feel some type of way ❤️
- jonfreezeJanuary 28, 2013This place was super cool, the music was sick the entire day. Great drinks!
- Get the food here! Also there's a back room with booths now
- Louisiana style food. Nice drafts and hot cider/mulled wine.
- Jessica NumsuwankijkulDecember 19, 2013Best michelada in Bushwick? Make sure the curly haired man with a beard makes it
- Cant go wrong with mulled wine on a winter night at this joint.
