Small portions but great quality. Sashimidinner: 6 types of fish, 15 pieces with soup or salad, $28. Grilled banana with ice cream $6. Authentic look and feel.
Have been going here for years and the main thing is the consistency. Too many sushi restaurants may be great one visit and terrible the next. Here, you can rely on a consistently good experience.
The traditional option includes nine pieces of sushi and one roll for $60; special includes 12 pieces and one roll for $80. Lunch: three different omakase offerings are all less than $50.
Arrive before 6pm Mon-Thurs and do the prix-fixe. It feeds two and is an amazing deal! Service is outstanding, space decorated minimally. Get sake after din at Decibel, down the block!
The tempura is usually overlooked on the menu. The ginkgonuts, broccoli and shiso leaf add a slightly heavier balance to the sublime lighter than air sushi here.
$20 special before 6:30 includes a great salad, miso soup, a ton of tempura, grilled fish, tuna roll + 1 each salmon/yellowtail/tuna sushi (or 3 each sashimi and rice), and fresh fruit plate. HELLO.
Rear garden is nice to dine during COVID times. Sushi however was very underwhelming-some of the sashimi was almost still frozen. We left after our first order and got more sushi to go at Tomoe 🙃
Three of the items we wanted were unavailable and the food in general did not match the price. Only ice cream was available for dessert. Sashimi didn't taste fresh either.
