Make a 8:30 reservation so you can beat the 9:00 rush and still order that outstanding raymun which is only available after 9:00 pm. The skewers (chicken skin and pork belly) are terrific as well.
Trendy Korean, but more authentic than momofuku. Squid scallion pancakes, salmon sashimi salad, Korean spicy ramen served post 9pm, and the kimchi and brisket fried rice. Cocktail: Mae Sil Bramble.
We got garlic fried chicken, pork belly ssam set, and banchan and they were delicious! The vibe, service and the food were excellent. This place is one of the best hidden gems we discovered in NY
Head to Hooni Kim's stylish Flatiron Korean restaurant for fresh killed-chicken skewers, braised pig trotters with kimchi, and fluffy scallion pancakes filled with squid. [Eater 38 Member]
Monday nights are now Korean-Chinese nights. If you know what that is, you need to run there for this. Best Jjam-pong and chachangmyun ever! This menu has been offered 3 times and I've been twice!
Try the Sizzling Bibimbap or the Chicken Katsu. The Spicy Seafood Ramen is quite good. It's also a nice spot just for a drink. Make a reservation if you want to bring a big group to lunch.
Delicate fried perilla leaves stuffed with bits of salty pork and shrimp pair well with makgeolli -- an alcoholic brew of yeast and rice -- or a soju cocktail. Read more
Amazing Korean food! The beef brisket & kimchi fried rice, scallion pancakes with fresh squid, and spicy BBQ pork belly skewers are a must try. They also have a delicious cocktail menu.

This Korean joomak delivers exactly what NYC's nocturnal gastronauts crave most: a new & exciting way to drink & eat at the same time. Order a fiery communal bowl of the late-night-only Korean ramen. Read more
Favorite dishes are all the "freshly killed" chicken dishes. AMAZING. So rich in flavor. Seafood pancake is also freaking delish. Other recs are the sashimi salad, pork skewers, ddukboki, and ramyun!
Tasting Table's Top Ramen NYC: Korean ramyun "...Hooni Kim's late-night special involves a rich broth made with fish, chicken and pork bones and stained with chiles, plus excellent noodles from NJ"
Love Chef Hooni Kim's approach to food here and at Danji. Must haves: rice cakes, fried chicken and spicy octopus. Will be back for fresh kill chicken wings and perilla pork action.
They no longer have a 9pm ramen serving. But their seafood noodles are now a permanent entree -- and it's delicious. Not fishy at all -- perfect amount of spice.
Another hit for Chef Hooni Kim! Lovely atmosphere and everything is great! My favs were the Korean Ramyun (served after 10), fried chicken, fish cake soup, brisket fried rice!
Using the freshest, most local ingredients he can find, chef-owner Hooni Kim uses his classically trained cooking chops for a near-perfect rendition of Shin Ramyun, Korea’s answer to Cup Noodles.
Pork belly skewers and scallion pancakes with local squid were amazing.. The fried chicken was just ok. Looking forward to trying the kimchi and brisket fried rice next!
Delicious, but very pricey compared to your standard Korean restaurant. Be sure to get a reservation. You might get lucky if you do a walk-in, but it tends to fill up so you might need a back up plan.
The chef, Hooni Kim, serves pub grub with a pedigree: before setting out on his own, Kim worked in the kitchens at Daniel and Masa, and his first restaurant, Danji, earned a Michelin star.
