This critically-acclaimed Williamsburg restaurant serves modern American fare. Although some of chef Justin Hilbert's creations might look avant-garde, all of his dishes pack a lot of flavor.
Whiskey bread and lamb tongue were flawless. My duck was a little chewy and earthy tasting (same for the broccoli rabe on the beef entre) but plating here is beyond fantastic!
Truly amazing food. I rarely order chicken, but theirs was one of the best I have ever had. The way each dish is conceived to ensure the ingredients mix as well as possible is superb.
The rum-cake like whiskey bread could be eaten for both an appetizer and dessert (in the same seating!) The deliciously seasoned chicken w/ vegetables is also not to be missed.
The Almond Crusted Tofu was amazing!!!! The tofu was unlike any other I have ever tried. It just melts in your mouth. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VEGAN FRIENDLY DISH! I will be back.

I was looking forward to be blown away and challenged, but my fall tasting felt hacked together without any coherence. Warm space but service felt un-coordinated, non-chalant and too rushed.
