A small selection of Mexican groceries is sold here, including real deal Mexican chocolate tables and some of the best raw quesillo (melting cheese) that we've had.
At the various LA soccerpubs, you're lucky to get scrambled eggs and limp bacon with your Cup match. But Guelaguetza is one of the best Oaxacan restaurants in the country! Try the botana platter! Read more
Without a doubt this is the best Mexican restaurant in LA; you feel like being in Mexico. The best is the mole, but I tried the Tamal oaxaqueño and is really good. Also horchata water and the nopales
Classic LA spot. Can't go wrong with the mole sampler platter (it doesn't look like very much quantity when they set it down, but it will fill you up!) paired with a tlayuda.
The nachos and the sauce were delicious. We ordered the horchata and tamarind water. Wow, so delicious. The moletamal was absolutely wonderful. Great vibes and courteous service!
If you're looking for good authenticmole this is where you need to come. The bright colors in the restaurant give it just the right true Mexican ambience. Also, has live entertaining music after 7pm
The mole negro was so rich and flavorful. I had the mole rojo and it was good too but if you want to try something you can never get anywhere else, bet on black.
Their mole negro is the best I’ve ever had, and the taco de barbacoa de chivo is a gamy sensation. Highly recommended, great atmosphere and live music!
"Pasion de Oaxaca" & "Flor de Piña" with Mezcal El Silencio. Pairing beautifully with a Oaxacan Mole, the best!! Amazing experience!! #MexicanFood #Cocktails #LiveMusic #MezcalElSilencio
Don't let the Pagoda and Korea Townneighborhood fool you: the Oaxacan mole, when coupled with the fruit-laden horchata, is as authentic and delicious as it gets. Salud!
Not a huge fan of mole but this place is a must! I got the mole plate that was the same mole they put on the chips. Also best horchata I have ever tried.
not being an expert in moles, they have four (black, red, green, and yellow) i went with the red spicy colorradito one w pork. horchata (i think pomegranite) which was a funny pink color too.
The mole. I wish this restaurant were in every city in America and that they sent an emissary to every Mexican restaurant to show them how to make mole.
You've been fooled! This place actually sucks. (Don't worry, they got me too). Chug down your sweet mezcalmarg and bounce down the street for some K-Town BBQ. Enjoy.
I don't know if this place is worth the wait. I thought the mole was... just okay; the tamale was the best part of the meal. But I couldn't hear my dining companions over very loudmusic.
