- J LAugust 8, 2014Beers made for Hopheads. Worth the visit when making the San Diego Microbrew tour. Large tasting area with local food trucks serving up delicious bites.
- Each beer taster is only $1! And head outside to their garden, there is always a food truck serving some bomb food (which can help sober you up!). They do close at 9pm, so get there early!
- Ashley SwappOctober 4, 2014I personally love the Hop Red. They did a remodel not too long ago and it looks great! Not ideal if you want to sit with your friends but a great spot to grab a beer and kill time.
- SalApril 4, 2016I like it a lot. Food from foodtrack is a little expensive but beer is cheap and really good. Try the ristretto cosmic black lager!
- Eric VenkerJanuary 23, 2015Such good and consistent beer with a ton available on draft here. Nice outdoor area with rotating food carts for some eats. They do growlers and kegs as well.
- Courtyard San DiegoApril 29, 2012Just a mile away, Green Flash’s enormous tap room is located right in the middle of their brewery. They have food trucks parked outside nightly, so snag a bite & enjoy your beer on the patio!
- DFBDecember 7, 2015Their beer selection is great and so are their tours! Worth the 5 bucks. They have an in house food truck and the chorizo sliders are amazing!
- Great selection of beers, both their standards and smaller batch beers. Outdoor patio and often there are delicious food trucks.
- Joel BlazquezSeptember 20, 2016Great selection of delicious brews. The food truck outside can provide for some food cushioning for the beer intake. Friendly staff.
- IPA beers tastes/smells like pine trees; not really my thing for drinking but some may appreciate it. Trippel tastes like apples/pears...which is more my style. Great cheap beer and awesome place!
- Rob FahrniJuly 14, 2017Lots of great beer on tap. I love IPA's and they must have had near 10 on tap. These folks don't know how to make bad beer.
- Robin BertelsFebruary 1, 2016No clue what malting, mashing or barrel aging means? Take the brewery tour! It's $5, incl. 4 tasters.
- Chris CegielskiAugust 4, 2017Cool factory vibe to chill and drink good beer in. It can get a bit warm inside so head out to the patio.
- Ron JeramiahAugust 12, 2016Bad ass brewery with multiple local flares and pleasant choices. Start with a few tasters until you nail down your taste Holmes. 🍻
- Great beers. Especially the Alpine brewery Windows Up (seen in photo)... Also the Green & Gold IPA is wonderful!
- Alexa PomericoAugust 7, 2014Great beer. Great tour. Love the $1 taster option at the bar. Try something new!
- Nick De WynMay 26, 2013Delicious aromas from the food truck, beer, and urinal. WHAT?! The urinal? Surly you're daffy, you say. While you shouldn't judge me on my avatar, do go in and tell me it doesn't smell of Fruit Loops.
- Michael FassbenderJune 27, 2012I really can't stand IPAs, but the West Coast IPA is a bold exception. Follow this up with a Double Stout, then the Barleywine and you're good for the rest of the night.
- Amanda SwarthoutFebruary 14, 2014Disclaimer: not a massive IPA fan...they have to be pretty special for me to "favorite." My favs from here: 1. Ristretto, 2. treasure chest, and 3. saison Diego.
- StephJanuary 2, 2013$5 brewery tour comes with 4 beer tasters! Reserve a spot online ahead of time and be sure to check out the daily food trucks.
- great happy hour spot! check their site for food truck schedules... good prices for beer and they have vending machines for snacks. dog friendly
- El DoostySeptember 3, 2017The staff - both behind and outside the bar, set this location apart from many other big brewery locations
- Paul YouAugust 24, 2013I learned A LOT about beer!! And the people who work here are all great!! Special shout out to our beer tender Becca :)
- Rachel KJanuary 28, 2020Lot of beer in a big empty warehouse space. Could use more chairs and tables but the huge TV is nice.
- Brandy FrickeMay 13, 2016Great place. Very open inside and the outside garden area is great for dogs.
- Dan BrownSeptember 30, 2011Careful when parking on the street. Parking tickets are occasionally passed out. They try to have food trucks every night. Grab a beer, head to the garden and order some food.
- kane perryNovember 2, 2012Awesome tour! Five bucks with four tastings at the end. That's one dollar for the tour. Informative and great beer.
- Beer is always great. Although it can get crowded at times, come early for good parking
- Mark GahaganAugust 7, 2014Everyone makes IPAs in SD...so try their saison or their double stout if you want a feel for their quality.
- The Cup StoreApril 9, 2014Green Flash beer tastes great, and looks great too! They have custom printed cups that advertise their brand.
- If you have time, take the free shuttle to their barrel aging facility for some additional tastings.
- Check their website for the food truck schedule, and plan to hang out on the patio for a while :)
- Batie KakerAugust 30, 2012Le Freak is always a solid choice. Check out the food trucks that park outside too!
- Stouts, IPAs, Alpine beers, friendly people, nice space
- Kat MaribaoAugust 27, 2014Chill vibe! Guys bring their dogs to get attention. $1 tasters are awesome
- Easily the best value of all breweries and a huge house selection
- Andy WisemanFebruary 10, 20134oz tasters for a buck. About 20 beers on. I did not taste them all, but excellent setup. Fantastic IPAs.
- This new, huge space is begging for an event. Food trucks stop by regularly.
- Matt GillespieAugust 19, 2014This is just one of the places that makes San Diego the beertopia it is.
- Tasters are $1 so start with 30th Street and work through the list. Cheers!
