The Sandwich Enthusiast 🍔: I've literally never had bad meat from the Strand. Brisket, pastrami, buffalo wings, ribs, and more: I've had almost everything on their dinner menu and loved it all. Need to come back for brunch.
The Sandwich Enthusiast 🍔: I had the Bob's Burger (1/2 lb brisket/bacon blend, thesandwichenthusiast.com/butcherbar) here, & cannot recommend going back for it enough. Beautiful backyard & a new bar area worth checking out.
The Sandwich Enthusiast 🍔: This is "The Sandwich King Of Astoria" for a reason. You know that episode of 30 Rock where the staff gets sandwiches from a deli in Queens? I'm 99% positive it's supposed to be Sal Kris & Charlie's.
The Sandwich Enthusiast 🍔: Some of the best bagels I've had in Astoria. Love a good sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel with salt, pepper, and ketchup. CAREFUL: their coffee is EXTREMELY hot.
The Sandwich Enthusiast 🍔: Deli tip: if a ton of cops go there and they only accept cash, it's a really god damn good deli. Andrew & Frank's constantly has a cop car outside of it and they don't take plastic. Nuff said.
