Beautiful old hotel in classic grand luxe style. Friendly staff, perfect location, cool spa area, large cosy rooms. It even has a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Everything is very expensive though.
Good location in the harbour/center. Excursion boats take off literally fm the front door. Very elegant bar run by Turkish gentleman. Perfectly clean rooms. Recommend Swedish style part of the hotel.
Have stayed on the 6th and 2nd floors. Quieter rooms do not face the harbor. Lower floors get a ton of noise from the party halls. Suggestion is to get a higher floor facing a side street!
Did you know that Grand Hotel was the first hotel in Stockholm to change the sheets between every guest!? ;0) It is known as the deluxe hotel in Stockholm. Not staying? Drop in for a coffee.
Well, of course it's good. But I expected more ;) Overcrowded: during weekends long line to the restaurant, empty plates and wild crowds.Only two tiny elevators in the main hall. Won't visit again.
For it's hotel rating, the service could be a lot better. Staff should be trained to be more professional and handle guest issue less passively and more intimately.
