Candy Kok: Good service, great food!! I personally think the normal yuzi hotpot is more than enough. Must save room for their yuzi rice porridge and dessert. 😊
Dane Marcus: Also, it gets so busy here that it has its own waiting room one shop up on the north side. You have to arrive, put your name on the list and wait. Or get there before 6pm and be one of the first in
Jackie C.: The chef really performs and the omu rice tastes good too! But it's quite expansive for a small portion (2700yen). We ordered grilled chicken and croquette too and they were great.
Vincent Tan: Nakamura is a Kyoto kaiseki restaurant with 3 Michelin stars and very highly rated on Tabelog http://tabelog.com/kyoto/A2602/A260202/26003637/
Markus S: Hidden in a side street, booking by phone (in Japanese) essential. They'll customize the menu for your preferences. Absolutely stunning food. Worth every penny!
uni uni: Traditional Japanese style ryokan. Japanese course dinner and breakfast are provided. Good atmosphere but costly especially in maple tree season
Marilyn Fung: Great place for a simple pastry or sandwich for breakfast. Range of cold drinks available. Friendly staff. Open daily except Thursdays 0700-1830.
Laurijn Deschepper: Epic spot near the mountain top. Enjoy a light lunch and a delicious coffee on the terrace overlooking the pond and its beautiful Sakura-trees.
Mela Mel: Amazing cappuccino, espresso, and caffe latte...better than the ones you get in Italy! Yummy! Breakfast choice is either granola, croissant and another one which I forgot!!
Sophia Parker: Incredible atmosphere for everything soba (noodles, tea, ice cream). Tempura was the best I had in Japan and ice cream was delicious and unique.
Stefan Maierhofer: Went there after the recommendations of foursquare, couldn't agree more. Lovely quiet place to relax and check your pictures you just took from Nijō Castle.
G M: Chicken based: Torisoba - a light flavored, soy sauce-based ramen. Another, Jukusei Torisoba - a thick, soy sauce-based ramen. Made from chicken boiled until liquified, with seafood soup added in.
Stefan Lesser: Excellent selection of higher-quality foods. Try the sushi or chicken katsu. You know those foods that look great in pictures? This must be where they take them.
Jorge Garcia: Excellent place to relax after a long day visiting Kyoto. Free wifi. Nice and cosy with a vintage flavor. Extensive list of drinks and nice easy food
Oliver S.: Exceptional good sea food, great atmosphere and truly authentic Japanese food. English menu available. Try the whale bacon! Great sake selection. ~6000¥ pp
