- Galveston.comMay 25, 2012Amusements as well as the historical element of the Pier will bring back memories of what the destination was known for in the late 1940s. The Sea Dragon ride gives you a great view of the island! Read more
- Social News NetworkNovember 19, 2013Pleasure Pier is a great addition to the island. It can be kind of expensive though. After eating lunch, paying for rides and games and snacks and drinks throughout the day, I spend close to $100.
- Jess WhelanSeptember 4, 2016Getting there an hour before sunset was the best idea. Not as hot & the lights are spectacular. Make sure to book your Bubba Gump reservation well in advance though. We were told it was a 2 hr wait!Upvoted Oct 4
- Social News NetworkDecember 3, 2013You have to pay to get in no matter what, but if you get the day pass for rides, it is totally worth it. I spent all day there with my dad and 4-year-old sister and never ran out of things to do.
- The pier is an amusement park so you pay admission even if you don't ride just like other amusement parks. However they do offer a discounted price of $10 if you don't want to ride.
- ESTHERMarch 21, 2016Super fun. Would come back when it wasn't Spring Break or a holiday. Big downfall is there isn't a lot of places to sit and rest or people watch.
- Janine VJune 24, 2012Come early to avoid the lines & heat. Free shuttle from San Luis Resort saves on parking fees for guests. Also ask hotel for VIP card to avoid line for tickets.
- Eric HutchinsSeptember 25, 2013A lot of fun - our company rented the place out just for us! and there were tall boy Pabst Blue ribbon Beers!
- Jennifer CottleJuly 4, 2012Beautiful views, great fun for the whole family. Go during the week & get the day pass so the kids can ride the rides all day. Worth the money.
- Mike DavisMay 18, 2016If you want to ride it's decent. I don't like that I have to spend $10 just to walk on with my kids. I don't ride.
- RussellOctober 26, 2013Great times. If you go make sure you have a bit of money because nothing is cheap there. Right down to admission. Lots of stuff to do
- Laney MorenoJuly 31, 2015So much fun. Go during the night it's beautiful and not too hot. Pretty pricy though.
- Jeff CeynarSeptember 2, 2013I agree with $10 to enter because if it was free then everybody would be complaining that wait for rides is too long. Also the restaurant across the street will validate parking for first 3 hours.
- Kyami CroninJune 15, 2012$10 just to walk around the pier/$22 to ride 1/2 the rides cuz the other 1/2 aren't open yet. Go to Kemah. You can walk around for free.
- Galveston.comFebruary 23, 2012The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is located at 25th and Seawall Boulevard, on the pier that formerly featured The Flagship Hotel.
- Mr T.June 25, 2016TheGakaxy wheel was pleasant but they wouldn't allow me to ride solo. The swing set ride was fun.
- Jeff CeynarSeptember 2, 2013Look for the games that state winner every time. This place is wonderful at night.
- Yaneli HernandezMay 25, 2013If you're lucky you might get to see dolphins while riding the Texas Star Flyer!(:
- Mark LoveMay 23, 2012Almost ready to open! Employee's families are testing things today. Photo view is from closest hotel: Four Points by Sheraton.
- New price..$10 to walk on and now $26.99 to ride plus don't forget parking costs.
- Dan MathisenJune 4, 2012Security stopped my son from entering the pier because he had a freezee sold across the street by same co that owns pier - So we boycotted.
- Wendy ShullAugust 12, 2013Way overpriced. Go North to Austin and go to Six Flags instead. It's only $44.99 if you buy your tickets online and you get tons of rides and games. Not $26.99 for 10 rides and 5 games.
- There are no shops or restaurants on the pier other than the gift shop and Bubba Gump. Admission isn't required to get to either.
- Tha PeifferJuly 19, 2015Most overpriced pace on planet Earth!!! $5 per ride???!?! That's outrageous! $10 just to get in and then $5 per ride, so you do the math... Packed is a understatement! Not worth it at all!
- Tom WallingJuly 21, 2014#MoneyTrap Not worth it especially if you've been to Ocean City, MD/Seaside, NJ etc ... $10 to just walk on pier + parking ... then add games, rides & food? Rip off. Tiny place.
- Pedro HernandezJune 25, 2013Beautiful place, but they charge $10 just for walking the pier. I think thst is too much, a few dollars would be OK
- Christina BarajasAugust 11, 2012Feel the same as everyone else...it sucks you have to pay $10 just to walk on the pier! Lame
- Sarah HuertaMay 27, 2012Complete waste of money. Horrible you have to pay $10 per person in advance to find out over 1/2 the rides aren't open. and that's $10 just to stand around $22 to ride the rides!
- Abby LudensJune 9, 2012You have to pay $10 per person just to walk around. Lame. Guess we'll just look at it from the beach.
