Amusements as well as the historical element of the Pier will bring back memories of what the destination was known for in the late 1940s. The Sea Dragon ride gives you a great view of the island! Read more

Pleasure Pier is a great addition to the island. It can be kind of expensive though. After eating lunch, paying for rides and games and snacks and drinks throughout the day, I spend close to $100.

Getting there an hour before sunset was the best idea. Not as hot & the lights are spectacular. Make sure to book your Bubba Gump reservation well in advance though. We were told it was a 2 hr wait!

You have to pay to get in no matter what, but if you get the day pass for rides, it is totally worth it. I spent all day there with my dad and 4-year-old sister and never ran out of things to do.

The pier is an amusement park so you pay admission even if you don't ride just like other amusement parks. However they do offer a discounted price of $10 if you don't want to ride.

Super fun. Would come back when it wasn't Spring Break or a holiday. Big downfall is there isn't a lot of places to sit and rest or people watch.

Come early to avoid the lines & heat. Free shuttle from San Luis Resort saves on parking fees for guests. Also ask hotel for VIP card to avoid line for tickets.

Beautiful views, great fun for the whole family. Go during the week & get the day pass so the kids can ride the rides all day. Worth the money.

If you want to ride it's decent. I don't like that I have to spend $10 just to walk on with my kids. I don't ride.

Great times. If you go make sure you have a bit of money because nothing is cheap there. Right down to admission. Lots of stuff to do

I agree with $10 to enter because if it was free then everybody would be complaining that wait for rides is too long. Also the restaurant across the street will validate parking for first 3 hours.

$10 just to walk around the pier/$22 to ride 1/2 the rides cuz the other 1/2 aren't open yet. Go to Kemah. You can walk around for free.

The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is located at 25th and Seawall Boulevard, on the pier that formerly featured The Flagship Hotel.

Way overpriced. Go North to Austin and go to Six Flags instead. It's only $44.99 if you buy your tickets online and you get tons of rides and games. Not $26.99 for 10 rides and 5 games.

#MoneyTrap Not worth it especially if you've been to Ocean City, MD/Seaside, NJ etc ... $10 to just walk on pier + parking ... then add games, rides & food? Rip off. Tiny place.

Complete waste of money. Horrible you have to pay $10 per person in advance to find out over 1/2 the rides aren't open. and that's $10 just to stand around $22 to ride the rides!
