I love this place! The ribs are outstanding. Also, they serve Lone Star, a really good beer from Texas (if you plan to have a few, you can get a bucket of 'em). On Orchard, just off East Houston.
If it's beer and BBQ that draws you to the happiest few hours of the day, this LES smoke joint offers $2 PBRs and Miller High Lifes, plus $5 sandwiches like pulled pork, ribs, BBQ chicken and more. Read more
The portions are insanely generous & the food is so good you can't stop eating. I always leave stuffed & feeling like I'm about to go in labor. Try the chicken & ribs platter. It comes w/ 2 sides too
OMG this place is amazing in every way!! The service was great AND just 1 fabulous waitress. The pulled pork with garlic mashed potatoes taste like sunday dinner!!
Great place to come with a big group of friends for a family style BBQ dinner for just $25 per person. Get a full rack of ribs and start with the BBQ wings!
The family style dinner option is like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else in New York. Get a group of friends and feast on more fried chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, and collards than you can handle.
Best BBQ in NYC. Probably. Also, as I walked in, I was listening to a track off wu-tang forever that I haven't listened to for years, and the exact same song was playing when I walked in. Mental.
I would male big fat southern babies with this place. Honestly, get whatever you can, ribs, fried chicken, sweet potato mash and leave room for Abita and Colt 45
Georgias is great food. I thought it was Southern cousine due to it's name. I was correct albeit, it actually was named after their dog Georgia. The vegetables here are Awesome! Fried Chicken WOW!
Great people. Great food. Great music. Great atmosphere. I love this place! Get a rib sandwich and a pbr and enjoy!!! Check me out on twitter @staykreative
Nothing special. Maybe I am a Texas bbq snob and sauced up meats are not my preference but I had much better east coast bbq around NYC. Don't get me wrong: Not bad, but I can make this at home.
I had the pulled pork, baked beans, collard greens and cole slaw. Nothing impressed me... And the baked beans tasted just like Bush's baked beans... Just sayin'. Overall I was disappointed.
The pulled pork was juicy and tasty. And they didn't drown it in sauce, which is key. It was 7 bucks which for NYC isn't too bad. The lemonade was good too.
