- Bitches Who BrunchApril 29, 2015The sidewalk seating, baked eggs, and banana bread makes this brunch experience noteworthy, with reliable rustic Italian brunch options and a prime people-watching location. Read more
- Karen CooperOctober 11, 2017The Aperol Spritz was on point, the espressos as authentic af and every single thing we ate was a delight. Service was excellent to boot (it was a weeknight) and we loved sitting outside. I approve!
- Max FlashenbergSeptember 7, 2016Came here for a birthday dinner. Quickly became one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. Atmosphere is tough to beat. I usually try not to repeat restaurants, but this one is an exception!
- Janey ElmgreenOctober 24, 2017Lovely antipasti especially the beets and the burrata. Pappadelle not the best I’ve had - not much meat at all in the Ragu but the pasta itself was cooked well and overall was enjoyable
- Mitu KhandakerFebruary 11, 2017Amazing food (try the polenta fries, brunch bowl, or eggs, polenta and mushrooms) at prices much lower than most restaurants of this caliber & style.
- Leah SchallerMarch 29, 2015I've been here over 15 times. And that makes this probably my most visited restaurant in NYC. But with so many choices in this city, you know a place that's worth repeating is worth trying!
- N AvedisSeptember 8, 2018Loved the place for its vibe, food and drinks. Quite packed on a Friday night, but it is definitely a good thing to sit at the bar and mingle with people.
- The Corcoran GroupJuly 30, 2011Enjoy people watching on a warm evening & dine al fresco. The service is a bit slow but we love the Watermelon & Ricotta Salata and the Linguini Frutti Di Mare. Reservations for hotel guests only.
- Caroline LeFebruary 13, 2015A little on the expensive side, but oh so worth it. The food here is incredible as is the experience! A must visit while visiting or living in NYC.
- TheoryDecember 27, 2011NY. Gemma’s location in the Bowery Hotel and menu make it a great place to dine with friends. Sidewalk seating in the summer is a bonus. Must try: the burrata, grape tomato & black olive pizza.
- We come here every time we go to joes pub for a show and we always leave satisfied. Obviously get the pizza. The kale salad is also delicious.
- Always full of beautiful people. One of my favorite brunch spots (baked eggs, truffle frittata) and excellent for dinner (arancini, kale salad, can't miss crostini).
- Morgan PolotanApril 4, 2015Get the meat and cheese plate, chefs assortment. Nothing too stinky. For $19 you get 4 meats and 2 cheeses, which would cost $60 if bought individually.
- LacosteJune 20, 2011Where we go for our Nutella calzone fix. Never heard of it? TRY IT. It's also a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail after work -- just be careful the wax from the giant candles doesn't ruin your drink!
- I used to be all about the salmon until I discovered the roast chicken. Big tip here is to ask for the house spicy oil, it elevates the chicken dish to the highest levels.
- Great ambiance, polenta fries are great, as is chicken liver crostini and burrata. Try the spare ribs and scallop for main
- Ms HeleneMay 31, 2015Branzino roasted on cedar plank with sautéed garlic beans $25, prosciutto arugula pizza $15 & governors cucumber vodka cocktail &13
- A ZJanuary 6, 2014AMAZING Italian food. Polenta fries are a MUST! Truffle pizza and Rigatoni pasta are delicious 😍😍 will definitely come back here!
- Sys EApril 28, 2012Food was so so but service excellent, plus it's a cool spot with 50% higher likelihood of celebrity spotting than anywhere else in NYC. What's not to like? (oh right, the food.)
- KarimaFebruary 6, 2016The truffled polenta fries, breakfast pizza, burrata and complimentary banana bread w apple butter are all the reasons I keep going back.
- Jane KatzSeptember 16, 2015come for a celeb crowd and antipasti. The rest of the menu is mediocre. Get Peroni's, fritto misto (good deal at $15) and truffle fries. Once you've gawked, cross the street for drinks at the Wren.
- SooaDecember 24, 2014Recommend you to visit the bar at the back. I never order special house cocktails but they're different.. Love them all. Bit pricy compared to other bars
- Ashleigh BurnsSeptember 11, 2015Tortellini with spinach and ricotta in a sage and butter sauce was perfect to match the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a shame the service was awful
- Umi AkiyoshiAugust 3, 2016The protein breakfast is a great option for healthy eaters. I always get it when I come here for brunch.
- Brussels sprout truffles salad, truffle pizza, chopped salad (sans chicken), glass of Chardonnay and it's the perfect truffle fest meal.
- Shrutika SachdevJuly 29, 2012Lovely warm rustic atmosphere: good place for first dates or groups! - lobster ravioli, pizza and NUTELLA Calzone are a must!!! (good writing pen for the bill...)
- Niki GondolaJune 5, 2013I dined there last week before clubbing. The best Italian Restaurant in New York hands down. Ambiance, Food, and Service was impeccable.
- Anuj MathurJune 4, 2017Start with a focaccia robiola pizza -- creamy robiola and white truffle oil between two thin layers of focaccia.
- LaDawn Penigar-MitchellSeptember 10, 2016This place is so rustic and charming and the rigatoni is absolutely amazing
- VernaNovember 10, 2012Start with the truffle pizza and arugula salad and share the bolognese pasta and braised beef/polenta/kale dish for entrees. Skip dessert.

- Hyomin KFebruary 1, 2013Delicious meal from apps to dessert. But what made it outstanding was the excellent wine list & most amazing sommelier.
- Leslie TengApril 25, 2016Blueberry pancakes are filling, and vanilla butter very good. Definitely get hot cocoa -- you get your own pot!
- Pro Tip: eat at the bar. You miss out on people watching, but you are better for it due to good conversation w/the bartenders.
- Matt HoilesMay 29, 2013The four seasons pizza, hanger steak and pappardelle bolognese were exceptional. My new favorite Italian in the city.

- Gansevoort Hotel GroupOctober 13, 2011Amazing for every meal! For breakfast - BAKED EGGS! For everything else - Seared Tuna! Seriously try it!
- Focaccia rubiola is delicious and the best version I can find of the dish now that da Ciro is closed
- The truffle pizza is life changing. Doesn't look like much on the menu or even the presentation but it's effing delicious. I came back twice in two days for it.
