Vibrant atmosphere, great Greek street food/drinks and the staff are utmost welcoming and their service is second to none! From the menu... Both the 'substantial' and 'moussaka' are worth trying.
EVERYTHING!! For starter, Bread w/ Tzatziki, Hummus & Taranosalata. We also ordered the Saganaki w/ Balsamic Honey & Lemon. We had the Souvlakakia, tried the chicken, beef & soft shell crab. Glorious!
The duck souva is not to be missed. If your server is having a little trouble with the wine list, ask for Nick and you'll get an amazing recommendation to your tastes. The chips are also really good.
Everything here is great - had the lamb and the tzatziki and the village salad and everything was fresh and perfect. Can't go wrong with cute waiters either 😉
Fresh Greek modern Greek food light flavorful dips as starters, traditional with a twist. Cool atmosphere, handsome waiters. Gets busy.. Make a reservation. Cucumber salad fresh and light.
Less romantic hidey hole and more buzzy start to a night out - the food is simple, delicious and quick to land on the table. Smash some dips, nibble on a few starters and suck down a gourmet souva!
Try the souvlakakia (which are like gyros) - they are DELICIOUS and come in beef brisket/crab/chicken/prawn/duck/chickpea fritter. Awesome cocktails and great vibe.
Go the "Doing It Greek" and leave it to the chef - plenty of fantastic Greek food - dips, bread, rotisseried pork chicken and lamb - plus great chips with garlic and feta !!!
Taramosalata dip and range of small souvas- soft shell crab was scrumptious. However, greens salad was quite soggy and wood fire grilled tuna was too bland. For dessert, try out their loukoumades!
Quite loud. Not a place to settle in as it's a quick "fet them in and out" kinda place. Ok food but i think it's overrated. Better restaurants in Melbourne.
Named after and inspired by an eclectic neighbourhood surrounding an old gasworks in Athens, GAZI is a Greek restaurant in Melbourne CBD where anything goes.
