Galata Tower, XIV century Genoese tower, 67m height. The best place to see the sunset in Istanbul (Europe and Asia, Bosphorus and the Golden Horn). This is a view which is really historical...
One of the most important touristicattraction, cultural and so historical. Located at the end of Pedestranian Street. Possible to climb up, for one of the best viewsbof the city. A must-see spot.
It is one of the dominating landmarks in istanbul, it was used as a watchtower.(16 floors/67 M).make sure to enjoy the views 360° from the outer balcony because they're panoramic and breathtaking.
12 TL for entering the tower. It provides an elevator to the restaurant floor and then you have to climb few stairs. Perfect view to the city. Recommended if the queue is not that big.
18,5 TL (6,5€) entrance. You can enjoy an interesting view of Istanbul, both Asian and European sides, but it's a big expensive compare to its offer. Cafeteria ultra expensive.
25TL for this? Check it out from outside, but then go to a rooftoprestaurant with a view, grab a tea and enjoy a much better and comfortable experience. Galata is a trap!
One of the symbols of Istanbul, it was once a watch tower and a prison, now you can go up to get an aerial view of Istanbul - lift up to a certain point then have to walk up two flights of stairs.
Best time to go is before sunset so tht u get to enjoy both day & night within 30-45mins. But if not, go fr anytime in the day rather thn night unless u like city lights rather thn panoramiccityscape
One of the most famous historic places in Istanbul. Just walk along the narrow streets, make loads of photos and then come to this tower and enjoy an awesome view of Istanbul from the top of it.
Galata Tower is one of the most iconic symbols of Istanbul. It also features to be one of the highest and oldest towers of the city. Well worth doing in late afternoon or sunset otherwise skip it.
A medieval stone tower in Galata quarter of Istanbul which is one of the oldest towers of Istanbul. Ensure that your camera and phone’s batteries are full as you’ll take amazing photos of Istanbul!
Incredible views. Great spot for panoramic photos (if that's your kinda thing). Go in the morning for the views, then drink tea at the cafe at the bottom in the afternoon sun.
Has a great view from the balcony, both European and Asian side of Istanbul. Requires a ticket 25 TL. If you want to dine in the restaurant inside the tower you would need a reservation.
Go and climb the ladders. İt takes only five minutes to reach an amazing İstanbul view. The only worst thing is to wait the line for 45 min and it worths. Go early in the Morning (09 or 10 am)
Great view but it’s always crowded. Better come as early as you can. The balcony on top is not wide and everybody has to squeeze around. Should be worth it for the view though.
The must go place if you want an amazing view of Istanbul - Be warned though - not suitable if you have a fear of heights! Photo is from the view taken at the top Read more
You’ll get a 360 degree view of Istanbul for 35 Turkish Lira, which is worth the price. You might end up having to line up in the queue for some time but that’s okay, the view is worth the wait.
Time your visit to coincide with the call to prayer (assuming you won't be praying). The sound of the ezans wafting up from all the mosques is nothing short of magical.

Do you know the story of Hezarfen Ahmet Celebi, who attempted to fly from the Galata Tower to Uskudar on the Asian side with wings attached to his arms. And he succeeded!
One of “must visit”s in Istanbul 😉 and make sure you read the stories and maybe some legends that are told about this tower 😊(some stories about LOVE,maybe 😉)
This tower looks like it would be better suited as Rapunzel’s home in a fairy tale. Actually it’s my favorite place in istanbul, it brings back so many memories.
Such a gorgeous view. A must see! Try the stuffed aubergine and lamb shank at the restaurant. Make reservation next to a good window to watch the sunset.

nice view of everything from the balcony; view of everything from the balcony; Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi flew across the Bosphorus from Europe to Asia in 1638;first ever intercontinental flight.
I expected a lot from this place. I was disappointed. It's just a cafe with a very tight and crowdedbalcony to see the view. The view is beautiful but you can see from other nearby places.
Topped with a distinctive witch's hat roof, the Galata Tower dates back to the days when Genose traders were settled in this part of town. Also, hippies hang around the area. Awesome atmosphere!
It's worth if you make it early in the morning to avoid the crowd, get there by taxi if you don't like walking up the hill on cobbled road, complete the experience by visiting the little specific shops.
Galatta Tower, one the tallest building of ancient world, built by the Byzantines. Can get a really nice view of Eminonu & Galatta Bridge from the Observation deck.
