- Kelsey SchurAugust 19, 2014Get a few rolls each with friends and try them all. Also, they are excellent about allergies and have items containing shellfish clearly marked as such on their menu.
- Amber Kho-UdomJune 28, 2012AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Some of the best sushi in Boston. Black Tiger Maki and Green Tea Creme Brulee was bomb!! Top-notch service and super pretty ambience. I would go every day if I could! My now #1 fav
- Benjamin 🚀September 30, 2014Miso soup was spot on and the sushi is certainly above par. The seating arrangement is a little underwhelming but the service more than makes up for it. 😊🍣
- Eric AndersenAugust 10, 2015The Spider Roll is a wonderful classic here — along with the Volcano Roll and Ladybug Roll
- best sushi in town! I always order the Fugakyu boat, it's delish! spicy tuna is to die for & their white tuna... it melts in your mouth! lobster sashimi is fantastic! awesome service - Mike is great!
- Maria-Angela OppusDecember 5, 2011My favorite makis are: Spicy Tuna, Ebi Mango, Baked Salmon, Fugakyu Maki & Shrimp Tempura.. but their all amazing! The sushi is very fresh and makes an unforgettable impression on your palette.
- m chan1May 31, 2014Very place for sushi and very crowded during the weeknights and weekends. Also, it's VERY EXPENSIVE so watch out how much you eat! Decent selection of saki, too, though pricey as well!
- Funda InceerSeptember 22, 2023Seafood kayaki (in the picture) is delicious. Sushi and hamachi carpaccio ok. Stay away from cocktails so sweet without alcohol :(
- Carmen CoddingtonSeptember 3, 2012Everything was amazing! The black tiger maki was wonderful. The spicy tuna melts in your mouth. The ambiance is great. The edemame we perfect. Overall, best sushi i've had in boston.
- Seaweed Salad, Toro Sashimi, BJ maki, Louisiana Maki. Cucumber Saketini followed by a glass of Oroya with the sushi. Green Tea Tempura and a Truffeltini for dessert. You're welcome.
- Boston PhoenixApril 22, 2012Voted "Best Japanese Restaurant" by @BostonPhoenix readers in 2012! To really impress your date, shell out for the kobe beef sashimi. Nothing says love like actual gold garnish on an appetizer. Read more
- A bit expensive, but totally worth it. I love unagi don and mini kaiseki. Mango smoothie is also good.
- Bonnie TuballaNovember 27, 2011The smoked salmon mango maki is great! Order anything with spicy mayo or tempura. The BJ maki has everything you want (tho not healthy). Get hot sake!
- Jessica HiemenzMarch 23, 2014Very accommodating to food allergies. 3 vegans had no trouble funding good food here. Just tell them your food allergy/dietary preference and they will look out for you!
- Mini kaiseki is nice and filling. Donburi was microwaved I think? It was a bit mushy. Fresh salmon and tuna. Quick delivery.
- Kim SandersJuly 18, 2011Seriously amazing vegetarian sushi. If you like sweet potato get the "pine-tato" the flavor combo of the potato and pineapple is to die for.
- Fresh sushi and first class service! You pay the premium ofcourse 4/5
- Georgia LuddeckeJanuary 7, 2016Crunchy maki was the best, but everything we had was fresh and delicious
- Our favorite roll Sake Papaya Maki is the most delicious and creative roll excellent flavor combination
- Fav app: Ostrich tataki, Ankimo, Hotate Kaiyaki , Nama GakiFav Nigiri: Uni, Toro, Hamachi Fav Maki: Spicy tuna with shrimp tempura :)
- Krispy KritterDecember 5, 2012Black Widow Maki! *swoon* tempura sweet potato, cucumber, avocado, reverse roll with tobiko. <3
- They no longer accept exchange requests. I many times requested to exchange tuna for salmon on my mini kaiseki dinner set but they ignored and do not honor such requests... but still good sushi.
- Ask for the off menu Bukkake roll. It's like a party in your mouth!
- Steve PolandJuly 1, 2010The booths are really neat! Sushi was delicious. The recommended beer is typical of japanese beers- light, 5%, kinda tastes like budweiser- not special, save your $13.
- A SJanuary 9, 2017Tried the salmon skin roll and the amai ocean maki - did not enjoy the taste of either and only 6 tiny pieces per roll. Not worth it.
- The Koshihik Ari Echigo beer is a must, premium rice beer, goes great with a una coco maki
- Sake papaya maki is the best roll, very unique combinations
- MazdaNovember 17, 2010Since 1984, Edward Leung (the owner) dreamed of building a food empire. He worked previously as an accountant, waiter and chef.
- JaimDecember 26, 2013Miso yaki and chawanmushi here aren't bad. Dragon roll was filled with sweet potato which was weird.. Everything else is just gourmet priced for below average jap food.
