Try any of the regular ales from Cambridge's Milton brewery, each with its own classically inspired name such as Sparta, Pegasus and - my favourite - the dark mild Minotaur. You'll be a-maze-d.
As well as a cinema, a music venue and a bar, it's also a great place to come and relax with a hot chocolate (until the bar gets busy that is!)
Good cheap bottled beer. Search bars for Erdinger. They did not run out, they just cannot find it themselves.
For whites: if you don't mind spending the money, get the La Bourgeoise Henri Bourgeois Sancerre. For reds we like the Medieveo Seleccion Especiale Rioja. Yum!
Don't let people tell you that Wilton's is London's only surviving music hall. There's this gem too.
A very cool, laid-back bar on Shoreditch High Street, so fairly easy to get to. There's also retro games in house, so no complaints there.
My local, the food is really good and love the beer garden any time of the year (but miss the wall of superheroes since the refurbishment!)
Has London's widest selection of premium Czech lagers and absinthe, which we recommend soaking up with delicacies like Nakládaný Hermelín marinated cheese, Utopenec pickled sausage and Pastička paté. Read more.

Brilliant refurb, v tasteful & a local to be proud of. Generous portions, cheese board MASSIVE and try the sweet potato chips! Very impressed and so grateful the Pennethorn has gone!!
awesome little boozer off the beaten track and away from the trendies. But trendy in itself. food looked good. Friendly staff. pingpong table and outside drinking :)
