In 1922, Helen Clay Frick held the 1st annual picnic for Frick Art Reference Library staff at her home in Bedford, N.Y. You can picnic in Central Park after doing some research in the Reading Room!
The collections of the Frick Art Reference Library relate mainly to paintings, drawings, and sculpture of the Western tradition from the fourth to the mid-twentieth centuries. The Library is open to adults (18 or older) free of charge.
