Frances James: Amazing setting, food, service. Everything was incredible from start to finish. We were the first to arrive and the last to leave and we got to meet the chef! Get the lobster balloon!

Frances James: This place was very good but didn't wow us the way Akelarre did. Pictured is their legendary "big truffle" dessert.

Frances James: Famous for their steaks. Get there 1hr before they open (they run out) and order a txuleton (ribeye) with the tomatoes.

Frances James: Our fave coffee spot in San Sebastian. Super tasty, reminded us of a Japanese place in how zen it is.

Frances James: We got drinks at the bar - fancy, upscale, and solid cocktail spot in the lobby.

Frances James: This is a cute little market area with some food/drink stalls. Unique stuff for sale and some gourmet grocery items as well.

Frances James: This church is near the square in the center of town - good landmark for meeting up.

Frances James: Serves vermouth preparado (a watered-down preparation)

Frances James: We discovered that ordering a marianito will get you the special house blend in a small glass with a wedge of orange and an olive.

Frances James: Atari's more experimental restaurant - great food. They also have a wide selection of vermouths to sample, like Casa Mariol’s Negre and the txakoli-based Txurrut Vintage
