Take the tour at 1pm. Not sure if I'd like the museum much without the animated, very interesting explanation from the historian. With the tour, this was a highlight.

Very small venue so either GA or balcony seats are a great view. Definitely get balcony for slower concerts though so you'll have the seat

Historically the epicenter of music and melting pot of the actual american society. Now ruined by silly tourists that just care about drinking and get waisted! No respect for history
Inside Armstrong park is the historical gathering square for african slaves and where jazz and blues started
Lots of free film screenings here and a great little bar that stays open during most screenings. Get a snack from the food coop across the way and then buy an Abita from the bar and enjoy!

One of the most beautiful churches in the city - directly across from Audubon Park and sandwiched between Loyola and Tulane. 10:30a mass on Sunday offers a Children's Liturgy.
Love Father Tony Rigolis sermons and the jazz choir at noon mass on Sunday!
Great place to worship. Welcoming of all ppl despite race, age, sexual orientation, etc. I look forward to coming to church on Sunday :)
Tour was great, beautiful house! But NOT an example of stereotypical French architecture in the French quarter.
Dr. and Mrs. Miltenberger came to New Orleans in the wave who fled St. Dominigue during the slave insurrections of the 1790's. In 1838, Widow Miltenberger commissioned the houses her 3 sons.

Amazing and elegant historic mansion that was donated by the Latter family in honor of their son and converted into a library.
This was the site of the Louisiana Purchase transfer ceremonies in 1803 & continued to be used by the city council until the mid 1850s. In 1911 the Cabildo became home to the Louisiana State Museum.
