One of the best $1 oyster happy hour deals around (drinks and other foods also in the happy hour menu). 5-7pm Tues-Sat, 5p-close on Sun and Mon. Also consistently great music selection by the bar.
ambience, service, and food rate high in this restaurant. the place is very clean and the staff very efficient. $1 oysters on happy hours! ask for break if you order the mussels, fries, and beer.
Did you say donuts? Offering several different filling flavors, you have the ability to choose what your donuts (4 or 8) will have inside! Very impressed by the selection and they tasted amazing!
Mussels were incredible... Lobster roll was good, but don't waste your time. Any of the mussels will satisfy far more! And of course, get french fries on the side and plenty of bread for the broth.
I've tried multiple mussel sauces, they are ALL so good, you will need to return several times and try them all. Don't forget to leave room for the donuts, they are a MUST.
Good wine list/cocktails menu. Recommend sharing a few different pots to sample different flavors. The Parma is insane. Skip the apps and instead save room for truffle fries and doughnuts!
We have been wanting to try Flex Mussels for months and are kicking ourselves that we waiting this long! So many varieties of mussels it was impossible to choose just 1! Order Maine and add fries!
the South Pacific is a perfect way to get the Thai flavor and still have a white wine base. Lobster roll, truffle fries and donuts are a must. Choco and meyer lemon donuts are tops.
Pretty pricey.... but really great flavor and choices of broth for the mussels to soak in!!! Apps and sides are small, but delicious and perfect for share
Bombay is one of the best mussel dishes I've had at a seafood restaurant. If you're looking to try something new, I highly recommend. Salted caramel donuts are also a must.
The Parma mussels are so incredibly good. Who ever said cheese and seafood don't mix? Heavy. Will not be able to have desert. The Italiano are great as well. Service is spot on.
Was apprehensive because mussels are a lot of work & not always big portions. Absolutely not the case. Great, numerous flavor selections. Very filling. Truffle fries, donuts, kale salad, and mussels.
Nothing more nourishing than a giant pot of mussels. Avoid the complex offerings and spring for the classic white wine mussel meal. Great doughnut dessert course too.
Nice dining room, clamstrips were 99% breading, thai and dijon mussels were great, overall pretty expensive. B. Cafe laksa mussels are better, less expensive and come with fries.
If you love mussels, this is your place, especially when it’s $20 for all you can eat mussels during happy hour. We like the Fra Diavolo or The Mexican.
A seafood lovers heaven, Flex makes the N-Siders list for the most amazing mussels in NYC! We suggest trying Thai, Bombay, Provencal & South Pacific pot! Save room for the salted caramel doughnut!
The Bombay mussels are fantastic!!!! The doughnuts are a popular dessert. OpenTable messes up reservations so make sure you call and confirm a day in advance.
The Thai mussels are fantastic as is their often changing beer list. The calamari appetizer is huge for two and to top it all off they apparently have a secret menu item of booze filled doughnuts.
Flex Mussels is one of the best restaurants in New York, much less on the UES. From the Éphémère beer to the many varieties of mussels to the incredible lobster roll, Flex Mussels never disappoints ( Read more
