Love the watermelon pork belly as well as their fatty crab in here. Pork slider is solid but omitible. Don't forget to reserve your crab! They are all sold out by 730pm the night we went (Friday!)
Fatty Duck and Chili Crab were delicious, as was the Fatty Sundae! Great service too. Don't expect authenticity: dishes are just their interpretations of SEAsian favs so enjoy it for what it is!
The pork ribs, and the crispy pork with watermelon were my two favourite dishes. But the whole menu (including the cocktails) was pretty fantastic. Think Jumbo Seafood in downtown New York.
Follow them on Twitter @FattyCrabHK. Loving that they are serving the classic crispy pork belly and pickled watermelon. If they have the Dark and Stormy on the cocktail menu order it!
The cuisine is a mix of South East Asian flavours prepared with western-style techniques. The environment is fun and energetic. Fatty Crab is featured in our August Tried and Tasted section.
Not as expensive as Mango Tree but twice as hipster cool. The food and style is perfect for me. And how can I not like a place with the same music that's on my iPod?
Everything kind of tastes the same after the 3rd dish. Completely overpriced and their seating policy is pretentious and stupid. One of those places you go only once to see what all the fuss is about.
Food was alright. Malaysian fusion. But if you don't mind eating blindly and turning deaf then go ahead anytime. Very dim lighting and too loud to even have a decent convo!
Expensive bill for small portions and mediocre food. Crab is great but doesn't justify astronomical price tag. This is essentially jazzed-up Malaysian hawker food. I'm unconvinced.
