Danielle B. • May 26, 2017Lovely! The tiny & excellently-curated bookshop is full of Scottish stories & fairytales; I wanted to buy everything! Also nice, quiet cafe that donates proceeds to charity, & sweet garden in back.
Bijan Y. • February 18, 2016Good selection of non Scottish and great Scottish works. Intimate and lively way to spend a couple of hours. Staff a little past sell by date.
Social News Network • August 14, 2013Even if you're not the biggest fan of whisky, this guided tour will have you craving it by the end. One of the coolest experiences in Edinburgh!
Andrea B. • February 2, 2013Do take the literary walk that's sometimes listed on a board outside. One and a half hour's worth of really interesting facts about literary Edinburgh shared by author Allan Foster.
Dan C. • April 8, 2017Really enjoyed this, well worth the £16 price tag and the experience is really good (and scary!)
Kelly • December 30, 2022You need a reader’s card to access archives. To do so, you’ll need a photo ID & two passport photo, maybe even a blood sample or two (haha). It’s incredibly hard to do ancestry research as a foreigner.
Fiona M. • August 3, 2011A good day out, and admission is free. Refurbishment is excellent - a lot to see in one day. Only one gripe - cafe is a bit pricey!!
Enzo M. • October 12, 2022Excellent exhibition space to nicely complement what is on offer at the Scottish National Gallery
Daniela G. • January 14, 2016Important part of Scotland's history, beautiful building , can't miss this.
Grahame B. • December 15, 2018Three salads in a bowl, a chocolaty thing and a cappuccino. Delicious - and some paintings
Neil T. • March 4, 2011Quirky little museum - you can spend about an hour here and it's free to get in. Lots of info about history of money and banking in Scotland.
Jess C. • August 22, 2016Wonderful museum full of nostalgic memories and some interactive features for children.
Vadim • September 1, 2017Think about it as a bit a dungeon-ish theme park with only 4 rooms to look at. Nothing interesting, but you've paid £17 so go on in :)
Chris R. • October 19, 2021A quite a number of objects of local (and not so local) interest. Some interesting things about the development of the New Town. Lots of other stuff.
Alasdair G. • January 27, 2019Some very famous skeletons in the closet. Not open very much, but well worth a visit when it is.
