Tunke L. • July 22, 2015Great gift store, they sell lovely and original books.
alicetiara • May 21, 2015I really like this beautiful branch library, but it is the only NYPL location I've ever been to that doesn't have a bathroom for patrons.
Greg W. • February 5, 2013Great place to do some laptop work with free wifi. There are large clean open tables, adjustable Aeron office chairs, and plenty of plugs. It's best on the 2nd floor. No mandatory coat/bag check.
Alex R. • July 20, 2017black power exhibit seems a bit cluttered but it's a great library and resource
Travis W. • April 6, 2018One of the most beautiful reading rooms in the country. Be sure and stop here when in NYC. The gift store on the first floor of the library is also neat.
Taty S. • January 28, 2019Amazing librarians, helpful and kind. Great building to relax in the middle of the midtown madness as well.
Bill O. • January 26, 2016Pretty grungy, creepy and dark-ish, but no matter if just borrowing books. Nice resource to have.

Rosalee L. • March 25, 2010Beautiful Old books, printing press exhibits, private club, and beautiful old house all mixed into one.
Andrew C. • October 17, 2017Small, but efficient library... the place seems updated/upgraded/new - which is nice with self checkout, computer stations, bright lighting, comfy chairs!!! Limited-ish selection of books though
John P. • January 21, 2015Good location for study. Large desks, good natural lighting, reasonably quiet.
Harlem A. • January 22, 2014Actually the quietest for studying just off of the Columbia campus and on bustling 125th street. The morning gets great sunlight and those wooden back benches are perfect for a paperback read.
