Neil B. • November 16, 2013Delicious food and great service. Try the Venison sausage with Blue Cheese Mash and Pear.
Richard G. • February 24, 2011Recommended: This cosy Royal Mile bar could easily be mistaken for an upmarket shooting lodge and the contemporary menu is equally as special too - try the Orkney rib eye steak served on the bone.
Wian H. • October 4, 2014Exceptional quality - a well kept Edinburgh secret. Very expensive, but in exchange you get privacy, great service and beautiful surroundings. You can feed the peacocks or play croquet. 10/10
Viajandolavidaloca • March 24, 2018Cute rooms, friendly staff, great coffee. Super well located. Highly recommend!
Otel.com • April 12, 2012The Club Lounge is amazing, you can have pre-dinner drinks here, or you can also try the excellent breakfast choices served every morning.
Andrea T. • November 9, 2022The room was nice and clean. Great position for reasonable price. Staff was lovely too. A good option if you're looking for something in central Edinburgh.
Jo L. • November 7, 2014They have two hotels. The city (modern rooms across the street) and classic Dunstane house. Stayed at both and found modern rooms tend to be bigger. The old rooms are very well kept despite its age.
Stephanie F. • September 10, 2014The staff is first rate! Very very helpful professional and friendly - we would like the Manager Robertson to come back to the States with us!!
Cilia • May 1, 2016Great place for so little money! Very close to aiportbus ( in front of the door) en only a few 100 meters from the old town. Rooms are clean
Miss Bizio C. • September 12, 2015Great place to stop and sit outside on a sunny evening. They have the Botanist Gin with the good tonic so it's pretty perfect.
t • August 1, 2014Such a great complex, around 30 minutes walking distance from Princes Street and in a nice quiet location. Definitely a place to recommend. You can also book a secure parking bay underground for £12.
Darren H. • September 27, 2011Have to say the food was great. Fantastic burger with lovely lovely chilli. Wish the rooms were this good!
Jody F. • February 9, 2020The only place I will stay in Edinburgh. Location, size, staff. All tremendous. Double the room size for half the price of the Balmoral.
Ankur B. • February 17, 2017Rebranded recently from the Royal Hotel to an Indigo, it's better location than the other one at York Place. Friendly staff and genuinely good wifi. Faced issues with hot water taps malfunctioning.
G. C. • April 22, 2018This is a fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel and a perfect antidote to the scrum of the fringe. A real oasis of calm and comfort after a long day of theatrical experiences. Same time next year? 😉
trond h. • December 3, 2012A fantastically cosy hotel with perfect location and great personal service. This is the place to stay in Edinburg.
Mark F. • November 13, 2011I can recommend the Haggis Bon Bons from the bar menu. The Burger and chicken breast from the room service menu were delicious and hot.
Jamie H. • November 12, 2017Modern, spacious rooms and the view from the “Castle View” rooms is exactly as described! Friendly staff and the traditional cookie on arrival adds to the ambience of a welcoming hotel.
Pinar E. • March 29, 2018Lovely! Rooms, people, everything is lovely! They have a menu for breakfast, you can order Scotland breakfast, eggs Benedict or any other delicious options.
