Evan T. • December 15, 2012If your idea of a great pub is James St a visit to AR might be trying something daringly upmarket, since the food *is* served on plates. But if you care about good beer and good food, avoid.
Sabrina S. • May 4, 2015Scottish pub on Elgin St, sister to the Highlander on Rideau, great decor, great food. I had the bangers and mash (scotch not on the side). Look out for the beer-labeled train going over your heads :)
Jes S. • August 11, 2010all the plaques on the wall are family names for the regulars that visited during the first 2 years or so of the pub being open.
Evan T. • June 18, 2013Great prices but the lighting is really awkward; mid-ceiling chandeliers in a spartan bench-and-table pub just don't work. *Could* be a really cozy place, with 10 minutes thought put into it.
Alex W. • January 16, 2014Best pub deal in the city in the summer: free appetizer with purchase of two drinks while sitting on the patio. Which is laid out with turf! Legitimately amazing. spinach dip and chicken fingers ;)
