Mary L. • April 3, 2013There's a cozy nook in the "Library" with an antique sofa, lamp and table where you can sit and feel like you are in a private hideaway. Perfect place for a glass of wine and your book/e-reader.
Hayley J. • February 11, 2014Most amazing customer service. They left me a gift basket of my fav snacks after my college audition, so sweet and thoughtful. The hotel itself is also amazing:so aesthetically pleasing, & great beds!
Sean M. • November 8, 2018Anyone who says this isn't on par with other Kimpton's clearly hasn't stayed at Sir Francis Drake. This hotel is amazing, staff is friendly and the neighborhood is considerably better than Union Sq.
Nouk D. • October 12, 2019Glad to be checking out of here. Our room was barely even the size of a closet... And all the supposed charm of the building is killed by unfriendly staff. Never again!
Badger B. • March 20, 2016I stay here every time I visit SF. Great 1920's hotel, styling and features. Friendly staff, great location.
Jennifer C. • March 26, 2016Really nice hotel, the restaurant has great food and cocktails. The pool in the spa was so cold tho and it is at the top of a really steep hill - don't pull your cases up, get a cab or the tram!
Gus M. • October 8, 2014Although the hotel is old, it is really well maintained. Staff is also very friendly.... The only bad thing is that the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Mitch G. • March 30, 2013Union Square hotel with an indoor pool at a great price. Best value I have found in San Francisco, and I researched for a month!
Dan • February 3, 2013The lounge in this tiny hotel is pure film noir, private and quiet.
Sharon D. • January 5, 2016Beautiful hotel in the heart of San Francisco. Booked by my husband for my 50th birthday weekend. Would definitely recommend
Brittany D. • January 2, 2011I love this budget ass hotel!! Highly recommend for a two star kinda place. Xoxo
Summer M. • January 2, 2011Stayed here every year for the last 16+ years for the debutante ball. Beautiful hotel, very nice staff, garden court brunch is amazing but make reservations early. Indoor pool gym and spa great!
Bryan I. • October 24, 2012Amazing hotel. Free wifi for rewards members. Daily wine reception (complimentary). Parking is $45, but valet is very prompt (less than 5 mins). Service exceeds other equiv hotels!
Nadia I. • November 8, 2015Great hotel and they offer some exceptional last minute deals, so if you're looking for a place to lay your head before a flight or an impromptu trip, this place is great. Very comfortable rooms
Spirish • April 25, 2012Love the toiletries here, vv green and energy responsible hotel... Service is good too. Starbucks next door. Free wifi. No restaurant or bar in the place. Very unusual, boutique and quirky... LOVE IT
Agent D. • August 18, 2014There are lots of consignment stores with cool stuff, in the area, Whole Foods a block away and some decent restaurants in walking distance. Hotel staff is friendly
Amy M. • July 6, 2013Nice hotel, ecofriendly, and super comfy beds. Haven't slept that good in a while!
Ualtar O. • December 14, 2018Far from my first check in here... One of the few remaining Residence Clubs in San Francisco.
lies v. • April 10, 2013Beautiful authentic victorian hotel. But be prepared for small rooms. And sharing your shower. Easy acces to transportation and friendly staff. We've been here twice and will come back again!
James F. • March 7, 2020Be careful which way you turn when you leave the hotel. It’s right on the edge of Tenderloin which is full of crazy people. I felt a little unsafe out walking by myself.
Eduardo V. • August 17, 2014Perfect location, cozy hotel and affordable price. The shared bathrooms are clean and the front desk personnel are kind.
