Alex P. • June 15, 2018It’s a gorgeous building. During the weekday, there’s sometimes field trips, and it’s usually pretty busy, but it’s nice and quiet in the evenings, and a great place to work.
Josh A. • January 5, 2017Must do stop for Austinites and highly recommend for tourists. Al about LBJ but usually some cool temporary exhibit. Don't be afraid to learn something!
Social N. • June 18, 2012Known for having the Gutenberg Bible and the First Photograph; also features special exhibitions that switch out every season. Great research library on the second floor. Admission is free!
Tony L. • July 27, 2013Open on Sundays! 2-6 p.m. Nice quiet space to work with plenty of outlets. Highly recommend.
David J. N. • January 15, 2010One of my favorite libraries. Check out the Linux machines and graphic novel collection.
C-SPAN • February 19, 2015The Texas State Library and Archives Commission houses the Texas Declaration of Independence, and other historic documents chronicling Texan equality struggles. Watch this video for more info.
Lisa D. • August 1, 2013Best library in town!! Great staff!! No problems with bums here!! Love it!! Kristi and Jen are the best!! Ask for them!!
Linzy F. • May 7, 2017Quiet place to work with lots of work areas for a library it's size. Lots of windows with natural light and darker places too.
🌊 Christy G. • May 16, 2015Best free place to work. Quiet, comfortable and peaceful. But wifi is slow in the pm.
Katie V. • February 21, 2012Go online and get your hold items sent here. You'll prefer it to the downtown branch for sure. Librarian Bill is the best.
Andrew C. • May 28, 2019Very small, but the current exhibit (Austin's history of railways/streercar) is really great... there is a nice library attached too!!!
Lo-Cell E. • December 24, 2017The library here is great. Activities, reading, information, helpful staff.
Elena • September 25, 2013You can rent up to 50 items at a time! I believe the max is 5 DVDs at one time though.
Lake Travis Community Library • August 14, 2015The Lake Travis Community Library provides resources in the areas of the arts, sciences, and literature to all residents of the Lake Travis Community Library District and its surrounding areas.
Stacy B. • January 18, 2012Great area in the back to hunker down and study. Put your earphones in and it's like you're in here alone.
Jared W. • March 15, 2013This is a book store, not a library. You are not entitled to a seat where you can congeal for hours while leaving smudges of frappé on classic Kerouac. You sicken me.
Dat L. • April 24, 2011If you want to study, avoid the PCL. It's a great place to socialize and meet your classmates' friends. You won't get much work done but it's fun as hell! Bring food and extension cords.
Andrea K. • October 10, 2011My favorite library at UT - this place is almost never crowded, but does close early. Huge tables great for spreading out your books and work while studying.
