Lewy J. • November 30, 2018More of a locals beach than Mission Bay, it’s got a few nice restaurants (SH Cafe, La Fourchette and Musashi) and a cute little playground down the far end of the beach for younger kids
Darren D. • April 16, 2017The Taumanu Reserve to Bamfield Place section of the Waikowhai Coastal Boardwalk is now open and is the first stage of a 10km pathway on Manukau Harbour's northern coastline.
Andrew S. • January 2, 2013Perfect for young families. A safe flat beach, easy waves for the kids, good rock and sand pools when the tide is out, relatively sheltered. The playground is a nice bonus too.
Joanna • January 23, 2016Amazing sunsets. Good beach for a swim as it's in the bay - the water is warm and calm.
Mimi • March 3, 2016A lot of benches to just sit and relax and enjoy the atmosphere and the view of the wharf. There are also individual chair booth kinda things, try and spot them!
Gabriela N. • November 17, 2017Great place for a picnic or just enjoying the beach. Also is great for boating and sailing ⛵️
Andrew S. • June 7, 2016If it's your first time here: park on Minnehaha Ave and walk to the left to find the secret beach, then keep going until you find the stone throne.
Xavier V. • September 2, 2014This place is pretty good for a date. Specially on an afternoon midweek, when it's empty.
Gabriela N. • June 26, 2020Wonderful beach, perfect for surfing (kids love the surf school there) and the shops at the beach front are just perfect!
Darren D. • January 7, 2017Nice beach but has a big tidal range so check the Manukau Harbour tide tables and come around high tide.
