went for a long weekend 7/3/15 to 7/5/15. here are my favorite spots :)
1. Portland Head Light
emma tangoren: a quick 15-minute drive from downtown portland and 100% worth it.
2. Eventide Oyster Co.
emma tangoren: great seafood (obviously) but if you don't order the brown butter lobster roll it's a crime.
3. Duckfat
emma tangoren: everything is incredible but the fries are a must-have. garlic mayo & truffle ketchup ftw! also great milkshakes.
4. Portland Museum of Art
5. Black Parrot
emma tangoren: cute little shop with lots of great brands. worth popping in if you walk past.
6. Portland Dry Goods Co.
emma tangoren: nice store with lots of locally made apparel.
7. Fort Allen Park
emma tangoren: such a beautiful park. if you're here for the 4th of july don't miss fireworks from the prom.
8. Blue
9. Eastern Promenade
10. Back Cove Trail
emma tangoren: great loop around portland. perfect for a run (about 3.5 miles)
11. Allagash Brewing Company
emma tangoren: great tour with a tasting at the end. worth checking out if you're in portland -- lots of little breweries in industrial park as well.
12. Hot Suppa
13. The Danforth
14. Mercury Inn
emma tangoren: this is the best little b&b ever. innkeepers are friendly and incredible cooks! plus the rooms are all cute and it's in a very walkable location.
15. Fore Street
emma tangoren: stop by early for a same-day reservation. the food is incredible so make sure you go at least once while in portland.
16. Portland Paddle
17. Tandem Coffee + Bakery
18. Portland Lobster Company
19. Mt. Desert Island Ice Cream
