Greetings Fellow Wine Lovers! Our next wine dinner will take us to Portugal. Since traveling to Portugal isn't quite in our budget, (though we would love to take you all there) , we decided to bring a taste of Portugal to you through food and wine at Emilio's this June. Although Portugal is most known for its infamous fortified wines better known as Port and Madeira, the country has gained an established reputation and international recognition for its unfortified red and white wines. As part of the old world, Portugal's wine history dates as far back as the ancient Roman civilizations. And with over 120 grape varieties grown, the majority being native to Portugal, the wines have distinctive personality with something to please everyone's palate. With traditional Portuguese cuisine in mind, the courses have been paired to perfectly enhance the wines while maintaining the unique flavors of the dishes themselves. We hope you will join us on our next wine pairing adventure as we indulge in a taste of Portugal. Sincerely, Ashley Esposito, Manager, Emilio Amato, Owner
