You can watch them milk a cow at 9:30 and 4:30 in the dairy barn.
In the EduTainment center adventure time usually starts at 12, 2 and 4 pm. It starts in the reading room, then goes to the art center and then the cooking class. Definitely worth it! No extra cost
Feed the lorikeets. First 30 at the top of every hour get to feed them.
In October, go during the week to pick your own pumpkins when it's less crowded, but know that not all attractions may be available as they are on the weekends.
Get food for the kids at the kids concession stand behind left field. The portions are smaller and it's cheaper. You can even get milk and juice. There is a sluggerrr lunch box kids meal option too.
This is usually only open on the weekends for birthday parties, so only go if you are available to take the kids during the week.

Next to the entrance to science city is a door to the freight house bridge. You can walk across the bridge over the train tracks and watch the trains underneath!
