The guac is a must have and I recommend the option with the crab. Margaritas are well made, order them with Don Julio, you won't regret it. The taco sampler is a good way to taste all options.
Winners are: Blood OrangeFrozen Margarita, Taco Tasting Platter and the Macho Nachos w/ chorizo or chicken. Be sure to have reservations if you want a table or you can try getting seats at the bar.
The Carne Asada was straight up delicious, accompanied by some amazing creamed jalapeñocorn. Best tres leches cake I've ever eaten. Guac and margaritas were solid as well. Can't miss at this place.
Great place. The blood orangefrozen margarita was outstanding so was the made to order guacamole and warmed tortilla chips. The food and service is fantastic that’s why it’s always crowded
Delicious and tasty, very similar to their other locations - plenty of classic mexican foods and various cocktails, NACHOS ARE THE BEST!!!! (FYI, NYC location seemed much nicer and upscale vs philly)
Blown away by this place. Service was slow but food was amazing. Sea bass tacos (!!), Queso Fondido(!!!), Chicken TingaQuesadilla, Poblanorice, corn, were all equally delicious. A must try!!!
Really awesome atmosphere. Great decor. Great location with many other restaurants to choose from as well (if you dont want to wait on the weekends). But the food is excellent. The margaritas are A+.
El Vez is one of my favorite places to visit! Their drinks will have you on your ass if you have too many!! The food is amazing! DEFINITELY get the guacamole! They're known for it!
Their breakfast burrito offered at brunch is DELICIOUS. And their breakfast tacos are also a generous portion and really great. El Vez seated us immediately and we had excellent service.
Order the Queso Fundido Con Carne as an appetizer or pair it with another tasty appetizer and make it your meal. The Short RibEnchiladas were also a tasty treat.
Carnitas tacos are amazing! Definitely also get some chips g salsa to share. Good service & great food. Super busy, so be prepared to wait for a table!
Chipotle chicken tacos, open faced shrimp quesadillas, mexican chopped salad, tacos al carbon, cactus and crab salsa...GOLDEN MARGARITAS. Hands down, BEST hangout spot in town!
If you don't have a reservation, the wait is ridiculous on weekends. Try El Vez for lunch for a smaller crowd. Tito Santana guac (mangos, papaya and chipotle peppers) is a must!
Food and drinks are always good here. Highly recommend the chips & salsa and you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't order a margarita. Bit pricey, though.
Packed, all the time, and for good reason. Consistent service in a flashy setting. Table side guac, the Mexican Chopped Salad and Mahi Mahi Tacos are standouts.
Those Blood Orange Margaritas are the best, luscious flamboyant sweetness with utterly side-tongue tangling citrus and of course the calming of tequila!!
Brunch recommendation: get the crab and cornomelette, substitute corn tortillas for yucca fries, cut up the omelette and wrap it in the tortilla. You're welcome.
The $14.99 lunchprix fixe includes two courses (either tortilla soup or chopped salad for the first course; short ribburrito, chipotle chicken tacos or black beanenchiladas for the second course). Read more
The first sign that the food here is great: El Vez is always packed. If you can't get in at night, lunch is a great value, and it's the only time you can score a burrito.
The aura is bright and festive starting off this restaurant experience with the right mindset. This place is great to share a bunch of dishes with the table, and you MUST start with the Guacamole.
Get the Indian Red Lopez guacamole and the blood orange margarita. I really wish they would bring the surf and turftacos and the short ribs to the dinner menu- they got rid of my 2 favorite entrees.
People aren't kidding when they say to try the Blood Orange Margaritas and the guacamole De La Hoya style. Also be sure to try the grilled corn on the cob with cheese.
