They've lasted a long time and for good reason. They do get busy for their brunches and they do have a large after work crowd. But a good meal you can get. A good time.
Because you have so many options in NYC you tend to look over a few places. Ate at Elmo's tonight and the Half-Rotisserie Chicken was 100% delicious. Served over rice/ veggies and our waiter was great
Gay, gay, gay. Coming to Elmo is a throwback to another era (early 2000s) and I love it for that reason alone - not many places left like this in the city. Ok food, great cocktails, fun atmosphere.
The fish tacos are flavorful, but for an entree it’s small as it’s only 2 small tacos so I would order a side as it’s not filling. The Duncan Hines chocolate cake is yummy. Great service and vibe!
Appetizers are very good and cocktail menu is smart. As a whole, the entrees didn't match the level of appetizers, the steak is not seasoned and sauce served on the side is watery. Servers are superb.
I love having drinks here. It's the in & now place for Manhattan gay night life. A mix of young & old come from far & wide to enjoy great food, fun, & awesome cocktails! -Austin, The A-List: New York
I love a good gay focus’d restaurant and this one has great fried shrimp and chicken fried chicken so I’m into it, also a friendly as well as attractivestaff.

I was expecting to hate this, but you know what? it's not bad and the prices are great for NYC. If you need to recommend a cheap place that's pretty good, this is a safe bet.
Sunday brunch is packed - and though I usually hate the uber-trendy, I have to admit, it's a good mix of value and scene. Eggs benedict are good, truffle fries are awesome. Wait goes fast.
It's where you go to chill before you head out for night on the town, and if you decide to stay...no worries because Elmo is a fun scene to be seen in. Great and friendly bartenders and amazing food!
Food wasn't too bad, but this place was louder than a concert. I checked the decibel levels on my app and it's a definite . . . Go here when you don't want to do too much listening...screaming only!
