Best happy hour for beer in San Francisco - and it lasts until 9p. You can beat it. Friendly enough staff. They feature pinball and a photo booth. They project movies on the bak wall. Super cool.
Seriously, one of the best happy hour spots in the mission. This place has a cool vibe, a photo booth, arcade games, a dj, and get this… you can get a pint of good beer for $3.50 until 9pm!
The Elbo Room deserves a mention for $2 special draft beers during happy hour, discount cocktails and a bank of pinball machines that you can use to take out the day's aggression. Read more
I never go for the bar downstairs. It's all about the live music, or djs going on upstairs. Expect crowds, lots of marijuana smoke, and a diverse crowd. Usually someone there with no deodorant. :-)
SF Weekly’s Best Of 2012 Winner – Editorial Pick – Best Place to Feel the Riddim DJ Sep Ghadishah has put on the Sunday night Dub Mission party at the Elbo Room for more than 15 years. As local... Read more
I liked the place since the first moment I saw it, music was great, they have pinball machines. But the service took all the charm away. It took 20 minutes before the not busy bar tender came back.
Cheap and strong cocktails. They host events upstairs, but get there an hour early because they never have enough chairs and if you're short you'll never see the stage
Go for the Speakeasy Prohibition Draft. Nice drop!! Get in early after a Delores park visit and get a seat at the bar and enjoy the super smooth soul tunes..
Crowded on a friday night but some space to move and find a place to talk w/friends. Good crowd + staff was friendly. Quick to get a drink at the bar. Dancing upstairs had a $5 cover.
Venture upstairs for the rowdier goods with regular Afrobeat, Dub, and Soul Parties weekly in addition to plenty of live acts and DJ nights to keep folks dancing all week. Read more
Cheap drinks are good. Cheap drinks that are too cool for you aren't. Can get packed nuts to butts in here. Still, better a quasi-dive than another Mission craft cocktail nightmare.
5 pinball machines in the back, but the lighting is kind of junk. Beware of The Simpsons machine as the tilt fucked up and it's set to be really stingy on free balls.
East Bay crowd. Hendrick's and Tonic. Classic Pimm's Cup. It's usually free to go upstairs at around 1 a.m., so if you're already lit and wanna' shake your ass with some Castro Valley girls who don't
I was manhandled by the bouncers and the staff and when I opposed that I got kicked out of the bar. All my friends were inside and it was my going away party. Shittiest experience ever.
