Great sandwiches. Try one of the favorites. I had the one with pastrami, corned beef, swiss cheese and cole slaw. Simply delicious. Great service. The breakfast sandwiches were good, too.
Wow there is just something great about going to a place from the 1920s that hasn't been touched, sit up at a counter and have one of the best pastrami Rubens ever with a lime Ricky to wash it down.
Fantastic comforting matzah ball soup with delicious broth, big chunks of chicken, carrot and celery. Pair with a pastrami reuben and a classic NYC egg cream or rickey.
This place is like walking in to some sort of time warp. Sit at the bar, order an egg creme and imagine doing the exact same thing in this establishment nearly eighty years ago.
Bagel and lox was fantastic. Not sure about egg cream. A bit like a carbonated milk shake. Definitely better than the carbonated milk shake I made in my parents soda stream when I was a kid 😉
The pastrami reuben is far cheaper and waaay better than some of the more famous sandwich shops around - and the chopped liver w/turkey is crazy good too. Lovely, old-school diner atmosphere.
The roast beef sandwich was really good..not too big and the roast beef was nice and rare. I would def get the fries next time! The size of the sandwich was very manageable. Highly recommend.
A popular spot for lunch but single diners or pairs should generally be able to get seated without a wait. More importantly though...the food was awesome...everything good NYC diner food should be!
$10 for their pastrami sandwich served hot on rye with a pickle, help yourself mustard. Thinly-sliced, fattier and drier than Katz's but also cheaper, can sit at bar and can finish it!
Since it was my first time here, I ordered conservatively and got a cheeseburger (with bacon) and fries. Although the wait was long because I decided to go at 12pm on a weekday, the food was fantastic
Easy to love. Better than a diner experience. Something more to it than that. Breakfast is better than lunch. Service leaves a lot to be desired. But still worth it for basic and inexpensive classics.
Classic Jewish deli offerings in a classic diner setting. Lime Rickey is a must. I got the Jake which was decent but next time I'll go for the standard pastrami reuben.
If you're a veggie - breakfast til 11 or limited lunch items like veggie burger, egg salad over greens and veggie soup on tue, thu, fri. Still awesome but no salad greens section
The staff here is super nice. If you're getting takeout, ordering over the phone or on Seamless is the best option, especially during lunchtime. Otherwise, you'll be waiting in a really crowded area!
This is one of the last real deli's left in Midtown. Tuna Melts, Reuben's - you name it, all served perfectly toasted with a pickle on the side, the way it should be.
The Reuben! Buttery toast squashes down thinly sliced, plentiful corned beef, dolled up with sauerkraut and a sweet touch of Russian dressing. With each bite, the melted Swiss pulls like taffy. Read more
One of those very classic NYC delis that don't exist anymore. BUT THIS ONE DOES. Egg creams, all sandwiches are great. Expect 10-15 mins for takeout, nowhere as bad as it seems if you're not starving.
Grab a sandwich or an egg and cheese to go, and sit and check out all the photos of celeb customers along the wall. Spike Lee! Bono! Goldblum! Everybody loves a little old-school cholesterol.
Egg Cream! Contains no eggs-just milk, seltzer, chocolate sauce. If you want a real one, sit yourself down at the counter and order up. This shop's been serving up New York classics since 1929.
This is one of my most favorite places in the city...lucky for me I do a lot of work in the FlatIron dist. I eat lunch here whenever I can and I'm never disappointed...the owner Josh is a great guy..
Opened in 1929, this classic New York City eatery sits across the street from the iconic Flatiron Building and serves delicious Jewish deli-style food. Eisenberg’s has been open for over 90 years and still maintains its original vintage charm, attracting loyal customers for its hearty American fa...
