Ecco is both fancy and awesome, the decoration oozes with sexiness. Food tastes like heaven. Extraordinarily great pasta dishes, pizzas and desserts. The service was very handy and cheerful

Don't miss the fried goat cheese appetizer and olive oilstracciatellaice cream, and if the weather is nice, ask for a tour of the rooftop garden. [Eater 38 Member]
The fried goat cheese is a must! Don't try to cut in half, just pop the whole thing and use your bread to get all that honey and pepper goodness in the bottom! Yum!
Fantastic charcuterie and frommage selection. The olive oilchocolate chipice cream is ridiculously fantastic. If you can't get a table, try the bar. The service is just as great.
Love Ecco -- great spot in midtown! Great ambience and desserts are amazing (Champagnetruffles and Chocolatewalnut semifreddo)!!! The fried goat cheese ballsappetizer is yummy too!

Save room for the excellent desserts. And--like everyone else has mentioned--the fried goat cheese balls with lavender honey and black pepper are not to be missed! Excellent cocktails, too.
More trendy than I normally prefer but I can't point to a single thing wrong with the food. Great meal overall. Monkfish was perfect (many places don't get it right)

Sit at the bar and order a cocktail from the best (and nicest) bartenders in town. Long Live the Queen is a perennial favorite, but the seasonal drinks are just as heady.
A disappointment start to finish. Despite the nice ambiance and good cocktails the food is pretty bad. Excess of spices ruined the fresh mussels, chewy lamb meatballs, pale beat salad, among others.

Goat cheese balls are good but would prefer cheese and meat table. Tasted the rabit loin, pretty good but wouldn't recommend if it's your first time, it just doesn't taste so Mediterranean.
