- Randy KayeMarch 14, 2017Everything is amazing you can't make a bad pick off of the barbecue and the sushi is so fresh and innovative and delicious. I've been lucky enough to be served by the chef 2 times. great experience
- Kinshasa HawkinsAugust 16, 2016Try the Truffled Tuna, King Crab Legs, Scallops, & Lamb Chops - all were super delicious! For rolls... the Shrimp Tempura, Bay Street Cali (get it w/blk rice) & Hokkaido were all amazing.
- Hamid Alan9aryFebruary 4, 2018Great ambiance and good sushi. We enjoyed the Scallops barbecue bar and the California roll was unique. Wasn’t happy with the Squid because it tasted burned.#Yeswaa
- Serious EatsMay 20, 2013Oxtail Ramen: Mushrooms, crispy tofu, Napa cabbage, ginger, grilled tomato, parmesan, and slow-cooked, fallen-off-the-bone oxtail meat. A nice melody of diverse textures and big flavors.
- Evelyn LopezFebruary 3, 2016Dollar oysters during happy hour, $5 Moscow mules, delicious items off the grill and can't forget about the black rice sushi rolls. Everything on their menu is fantastic!
- Miles BMay 14, 2011For food, gotta have the Belly Roll (as in Pig) or Devon Roll (think Indian food sushi, and just as amazing as that concept sounds in your head). Amazing cocktails as well-- try the Surprise + Delight
- Tremaine AntoineMarch 31, 2013This place is such a hideaway of great food, great ambiance, and even greater service. They thoroughly tell you about specials and always leave you wanting more. Plus it's really affordable.
- Ashley SheeranJanuary 22, 2015Great place to go with a group of friends for sharing plates. Quick service. On the casual side - great Friday after work spot. iPads for cocktails and specialty roles!
- Erika DavisJune 25, 2015With a sashimi platter we got a variety of fish, which all were fresh & tasty. This is one of few places that I can get plum wine (umeshu), which I suggest if you like sweet wine.
- Albert LDecember 9, 2013Give server your card and ask him/her to bring the best BBQ and sushi on menu course by course. Best way to experience Union. Peter the bartender on 2nd floor is very friendly. Leave him a nice tip!
- The sushi is reasonably priced for the quality and I like the option of black rice (for an extra charge) for my sushi. The service is excellent, and the staff really know their stuff.
- Bento box for lunch was really good. The rolls are unique and beautifully presented. A feast for the eyes and the tummy.
- Nae NaeOctober 29, 2014Camel Kangaroo Sushi on Black rice Escolar in an amazing sauce. This has become a MUST when Im in Chicago. And the mixologist is fantastic

- Julie GenyMarch 23, 2019King crab legs bbq, good but very expensive and small portion. The big plate is barely enough for 2. Fast and nice service. Overall, it is very expensive for the quantity.
- Vithida SueblinvongOctober 18, 2016Good creative maki rolls but what I like the most is the killer yuzu pie yum!
- Rob LearyAugust 14, 2013The lamb was succulent! Chef Chao was very personal and showed his passion for his work. The taste - ambiance and the price make this a must stop for anyone.
- Time Out ChicagoJanuary 18, 2012There’s little offered here to really love, but there’s plenty to like: accomplished cocktails, and duck fat yaki soba noodles with mustard sauce, topped with duck and tossed with crunchy cabbage. Read more
- Black Rice Sushi Roll Sampler(Hokkaido, Dragon, Spicy Tuna and Devon Roll)

- kate FELDTJuly 7, 2013Hokkaido roll is one of the best. Get it with black rice. Grilled scallop, avocado, masago-mayo, roasted pepper, jalapeno, garlic, wrapped in soy paper.
- Liz LeJanuary 7, 2013The sushi is not the freshest in the city, but you can split the maki rolls and they're unique combinations. Ramen is prob the best dish to get there.
- Eylul SavasFebruary 19, 2014Everything is delicious. Sushi with asparagus is my favorite. Be sure you still have room for a milkshake.
- Don't miss the Uni Alfredo Soba!!! Love the Old City Market Roll: spicy tuna, seared salmon, spicy ponzu, cilantro, green onion, fried okra, wrapped in collard green! Yummylicious :)
